Gotta love beer-I love it so Much, I brew my own-all the ingredients are food items, so no sales tax
"It's a far better brew when you know the gov'ts getting the screw"
If you ever want to read a hilarious bottle-try Arrogant Bastard Ale, or go to the web site www.arrogantbastard.com. Good beer too

You hook the garden hose to the lower coupling, a drainage hose to the upper one, then run a line from your boiling kettle to the upper skinny copper tube. Turn on the hose, start the wort siphon and the cooled wort comes out the bottom skinny tube into your fermenter. So it's a tube-within-a-tube.
Do a Google search on "counterflow chiller" and you'll get a ton of info on building (or buying) them. It was a fun project. I plan to try it out with beer next week!

My sister and her boyfriend brew their own, too -- and they've got me looking at starting to do my own (they're up in Rochester - a little too far for a weekly six pack). They do lager, porter, stout and even do a pretty good mead.

" were that the purchase of beer might be considered a tax deductible religious donation."
Maybe they'll let us use the lite stuff as holy water and the good stuff as precious bodily fluids.

I'm an escapee from Rochester gulag of the People's Republic of NY. Love the summer-hate the winter, taxes and Gov't .
I have a pretty good stout and make some good hard apple cider. My IPA Bitter is close to Arrogant Bastard Ale, but not quite. I just wish I had thought of the name.
The hard cider is great for a marinade before smoking beef brisket or ribs and is great when put in as an addition to good BBQ Sauce

2 - The list of things that make people act really stupid is long and includes members of the opposite sex, avoiding those things can be bad for survival of the clan
True, and the list also includes things that are exremely mean spirited, such as the teachings of my more fundamentalist brethren in the real church. Unlike them, I am able to drink one beer and stop, and continue to be nice to people (not that I currently choose to exercise that right)
