Its not how good can they look, but at the least they could have taken the shots head on and one side view, it's not like these boys were going to protest.

The stupid rag heads are going to believe what they want to believe. Screw 'em.

For our first anniversary (paper) I bought her a bunch of books about spouse killers. She doesn't collect pictures of dead people, she reads true crime, most true crime books have a photo section and about half have pictures of the bodies. I like thumbing through the picture to see how ugly the "beautiful" victims are (in the text all victims are beautiful or hansome, brilliant and with a bright future, then you look at the picture and you see a hollow eyed gap-toothed redneck wearing a 7-11 uniform).
If she didn't have any screws loose I'd have never had a chance with her ;)

That's the best they can do? The whole thing reminds me of something that happened in El Paso a few years back. A decapitated female's head was found by the side of the road (no body, just the head), and they couldn't I.D. who it belonged to. So the morgue sewed the lips shut, cleaned it up, and placed it upright on a table cloth that was kind of swirled around so that it would look like a head-shot of someone wearing a scarf. Then, (with lots of forewarning & caution statements) they showed it on the local newscasts hoping someone would identify it. Really grisly, but they managed to clean it up really well so that you hadn't been told, you really wouldn't have known you were looking at a decapatitated head.
I would have at least figured they would have cleaned these guys up so that the skeptics couldn't question the photos.

Two photos that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that weapons of mass destruction definetly did exist. May they rot in He!!. One of the best investments the USA has ever made.

Yes, yes..of course we all know that Hussien and his sons were incredibly concerned with the well being of both Palestinians and Muslim's...Ha-Ha! I didn't think the pictures were all that gruesome!

If I had children like those two, I would go for a nice ride in the country for a picnic with them. Have a nice meal, some good red wine, blow their brains out with a 357, dig a good hole, and ask god to cut them some slack because I should have raised them better or killed them sooner.

I agree. The bottom image does look like Uday. The top image looks somewhat like Qusay, minus quite a few pounds.

I am not acquainted with the fellow but if that is who he is, he is looking good.

Dead people often are unrecognizable. Anyone who sees it on a regular basis will tell you that. In fact, I read a book just the other day where a woman got her son back from Vietnam, and she was convinced it was the wrong body they had brought back, because it didn't look anything like him.
In the US we have morticians to make death look "human" again. They often work from photos.
But I do see the resemblance, in important ways. They have been identified by many, and I have no doubt these are who they are claimed to be.

CNN says these are purported to be the sons of Saddam...Some over there think it could be some winos from central casting with ketchup

These look like classic pre-autopsy photos. They take a lot of pictures to preserve the exterior of the body to cut down on the evidence destroyed by the autopsy. No cleaning before those, ever.

I'd like to order 100 wallet-size prints for distribution to the "Quagmirists" in the House and Senate. Be sure to send some copies to the families of the three soldiers killed this morning.
To: discostu
Regardless of what can happen to the face post-mortem, the least they could've done was to have taken the pictures straight-on rather than sideways.
