Regardless of what can happen to the face post-mortem, the least they could've done was to have taken the pictures straight-on rather than sideways.

Usually the front head shot is done leaning over the torso to get the straight in view, whatever flopping the head is doing is just left there. There should be two profile shots done from up close too. Depending on how thurough they wanted to be there could be upwards of a hundred pictures, most of them will be grainy and look like the lighting was off (either dark or saturated, never in the middle) and generally only show one body part. I'd be interested in knowing if the boys had distinguishing tatoos, that's generally an important series of photos.
