But I thought that New York had GUN CONTROL!
How can this happen?
The guy must have gone to one of those evil gun shows.

I heard something about Bloomberg had relaxed the security measures that Rudy had in place. This is a bizzare story. Talk about bad blood between political rivals. Hollywood will want the story rights I'm sure. Prayers for the families and victims though.

Is that too high a price to pay?
Ask the family of Councilman James Davis, felled by a bullet at age 41.
A moment's cautious routine, or a life lost to pay the price of learning?

Ironic about this event is that it could just as well have been done outside on the street -- they were talking together outside before the shooting.
If the perp had done it outside - where there may not have been an armed guard - he might have killed more people, and be alive today!

No security if perfect. The only thing that is fool proof is second guessing.

City council members and the mayor were allowed to walk around the detector. This guy was talking to the council member and walked with him.
This is a clear example of setting up security and letting it erode.
Yesterday Bloomy said that now everyone has to walk through. DUH!

HOW DID THE GUN GET IN? Why, it sprouted little legs, and walked in all by itself.
