I just saw it on MSNBC. They said she was at a party a week ago, 3 days before Kobe was charged.
They said she was drinking (consumption by a minor) and playing cards, and was bragging about.....(MSNBC took out the audio at the end of sentence)
The story was confirmed by 5 people at separate places and times who were at the party and all gave a similar account of what happened.
When asked how the girl looked, the guy interviewed said she looked happy. Everyone was shocked to see her at the party given the incident.
I think someone may have even asked how hung was Kobe upon which she described with hand gestures. She seemed to be bragging according to a friend, but said she couldn't tell them what happened that night.
This just keeps getting better and better...

The field reporter for MSNBC in Colorado also reported she confirmed with the alleged victim's friends that she's attended the party, though was distraught that people kept turning on the news coverage.

Oh I'm sorry. Even if the girl has injuries; she must prove Kobe inflicted them. Lets see, the girl is a liar, whore, slut, mental case: just cashing in. You don't believe she was injured, but if she was, she has to prove Kobe inflicted such injuries. The girl doesn't have to prove anything-it's up to the DA to prove the case. I don't understand why you defend Kobe so vigorously. How do you know Kobe didn't rape this girl? I don't know if he did or didn't. If kobe beat the girl up, would you change your opinion? I guess an alleged "victim" has to be dead in order to garner any sympathy here.

If she were dead then she wanted it that way because she was into that kind of kinky sex. Never mind that the whole thing took place in less then 30 minutes.

I hear what you're saying. But things are apparently quite different nowadays [warning: Old Fogey alert!].
And you know what else, some of these kids are so clueless that they don't even realize when they are doing someone harm. For example, they may actually think that by spreading the word about the overdose they make her more appealing because she looks more like a victim. They may never have considered that by calling into question her emotional stability they attack her credibiity and in turn her case.

We don't know if rape occurred, but there is enough evidence to have a trial. Agreed, there is enough evidence to have a trail. However, that EVIDENCE can be as little as this girl going and getting a sworn affidavit that the big bad Kobe raped her... that's it. The DA is pretty much obligated to charge Kobe based on her word alone.
Kobe gets the benefit of the doubt. Yet, every piece of trash (some of it paid for) about the girl is breathlessly believed.
We live in a modern age and just because a piece of information or a story is paid for.. doesn't necessarilly mean its untrue. Kobe has been charged of a crime.. possible life sentence in prison... innocent until proven guilty. The stories about the girl are related to the original story and criminal charge.. she's emotionally unstable, attention-starved, manipulating, lying, and suicidal ... nobody has accused her of a crime... they support the credible, or lack thereof, of the sex charges.

"But it's much easier to lie about some no one knows. For instance, which printed lie would be more believable: a lie about me saying I drag raced on the streets last Saturday night endangering bystanders, or a lie that President Bush drag raced on the streets last Saturday night endangering bystanders. Hardly no one would believe the lie about President Bush, plus it would be easily refuted, but a much higher percentage would believe the lie about me, because no one knows me nor tracks me. "
But you doing anything wouldn't sell copies of their papers. The story about the famous person would sell quite a lot.

The DA is pretty much obligated to charge Kobe based on her word alone.
Actually this is incorrect. A DA looks at the complaint and then all of the evidence before making any decision. He has to prove his charge beyond a reasonable doubt so that lifts the bar. Espescially on a case such as this.

If Kobe raped the girl, and I'm not saying he did-he is not the underdog: just scum. It seems to me Kobe has money, expensive lawyers, a character assasination squad, fans etc.-hardly an underdog. Even if Kobe is guilty, he might get off. OJ did. As for Kobe's life being ruined, he chose to sleep with the girl, or he raped her. It is his own fault. I feel sorry for Kobe's wife and baby. I guess we will have to wait for the trial and see what the evidence shows.

Look, I don't know if Kobe is guilty or not....Stop blaming the victim. If Kobe is not guilty, then she's not a victim. Got it?

" IMHO the most damning thing that has been said about this girl, and this case was said on TV yesterday by Her Best friend..... "There are a helluva lot of people in towns like Boulder entranced by LA/Beverly Hills/Santa Monica types and anxious to grab their 15 minutes of fame.

Maybe because they don't want this to become a racial issue any more than it already is.
Kobe is not O.J.

Does it matter? I don't believe Clinton. Do you believe that because Clinton is guilty that Kobe automatically is? Why?
Powerful men, surrounded by bodyguards thugs, consuming young women as if they were appetizers, sexually assauting those who resist and destroying those who complain, all with the support and approval of the wife.
And this is a description of Kobe? Where did you get it? Or did you make it up?
BTW, I am NOT a Laker's fan.
To: phreebass
These stories remind me of the stories about Monica-before DNA proved Clinton was lying. You may think paying for a story doesn't affect it's credibility, but I disagree. These rags want dirt (doesn't have to be true), and they will pay for it. Do you think the Star prints truthful stories? Have you ever read these type of magazines?

I could see a girl going up to his room expecting to be seduced and charmed into bed by a celebrity, but then finding herself in a situation where he displays a much uglier side of himselfA very possible scenario, but I still think it is normal to feel less sympathy for the girl in this scenario than a girl who had been raped by a stranger creeping into her bedroom uninvited.
To: #3Fan
She could get prison time for filing false charges like that girl who wrongly charged Michael Irvin. Plus the vicious attacks by the sports worshippers like you and the media. These people coming out of the woodwork have nothing to lose.Doubtfull... Perry Mason or Matlock is going to get her to crack up on the stand and she is going to admit that she made the whole thing up? Unlikely.. SHE is the one who led the charge out of the colorado woodwork... not the other way around.
How so? I didn't hate Kobe before this. My views stem from speaking for an alleged victim before the facts are known. We don't know what the physical evidence is yet and a lot of people are calling her every name in the book
Your opinions are clouded by hate as it is quite evident. Once you made up your mind it was set like concrete... some of us have been evaluating the stories as they come in... which leads us to believe the charges are unfounded.
"...sports worshippers like you... too bad you Kobe worshippers..."
Did you get beat up in gym class or something?
Most to gain? What is she gaining?
Money... as indicated by her partytime discussions... attention, sympathy, fame.. many of the things her prior cry for help failed to get her.
