I just saw it on MSNBC. They said she was at a party a week ago, 3 days before Kobe was charged.
They said she was drinking (consumption by a minor) and playing cards, and was bragging about.....(MSNBC took out the audio at the end of sentence)
The story was confirmed by 5 people at separate places and times who were at the party and all gave a similar account of what happened.
When asked how the girl looked, the guy interviewed said she looked happy. Everyone was shocked to see her at the party given the incident.
I think someone may have even asked how hung was Kobe upon which she described with hand gestures. She seemed to be bragging according to a friend, but said she couldn't tell them what happened that night.
This just keeps getting better and better...

Kobe doesn't look good here-no matter what. My 13 year old son loved Kobe and is hearbroken about this. He seemed like a really nice person. It is sad really.... for all involved.

Kobe could bring charges against this girl- slander etc. The girls name and address were posted on the web yesterday. The lawyers got the post removed for one thing. Her name, address, phone number, photos, etc, are ALL OVER Usenet and that data cannot be "eliminated" by any lawyer. It's out there forever, and anyone who knows how to use Google can find any of it.
New media will win every time.

The evidence against Clinton is a bit more solid.Did Juanita Broaddrick have DNA or other physical evidence ?
I'm not saying you can't be right, but be honest: there is absolutely no objective reason you should believe the girl over Bryant, or vice versa.
Yes, there is. The sheriff and district attorney carefully reviewed the evidence and are quite confident they can convict Kobe based on the evidence. Kobe, instead of publicly telling the truth immediately, misled the public and only later admitted to a "mistake." He is simply not credible.

They're interviewing Perry Smith, radio talk show host in Denver.
Perry's "source" has told him that Kobe and the girl knew one another PRIOR to the alleged rape on June 30.
Perry is opining that the DA is over-zealous, and happy to bask in all the publicity this case is generating.
According to Perry (speculation) a couple of the Lakers have knowledge about Kobe and the girl's relationship prior to the incident.
NOT a bombshell, IMHO. An un-named source is an un-named source, be it Perry's or Rita's or Abram's etc.

Eagle Teen Offered $12,500 For Kobe Bryant Story Friend Of Alleged Rape Victim Turns Down Money
POSTED: 10:15 a.m. MDT July 22, 2003 UPDATED: 10:58 a.m. MDT July 22, 2003
DENVER -- An Eagle County teenager told the Vail Daily News that she was offered $12,500 by the National Enquirer for her exclusive story in the Kobe Bryant sexual assault saga.
SURVEY Kobe Bryant maintains he is innocent of sexual assault. Whose story do you believe -- Bryant's or that of his alleged victim? I believe Bryant's story. I believe his alleged victim's story. I don't know.

Lindsey McKinney, 18, was quoted Sunday in a California newspaper, The Orange County Register, as saying the alleged rape victim who accused the Los Angeles Lakers guard had ingested too many pills and had to be taken to a hospital two months earlier. The interview published in the paper was quickly picked up by other media worldwide.
After the story appeared, the teen said a representative from the Enquirer came to her home offering the money for her thoughts on the matter.
McKinney told the News that she turned down the offer and regrets that the story was published at all, especially with her name attached to it, because the alleged rape victim is a friend of hers.
McKinney said the offer from the Enquirer started out at $200 and was up to $12,500 by the time the representative made his fourth trip to her home. The family turned down the offer, McKinney told the News.
Accuser's Friend Talks About Injuries
Another friend of the accuser told the Denver Post that the alleged victim suffered obvious physical injuries that are still visible three weeks later.
Luke Bray said he has helped take care of the girl in the weeks since her encounter with Bryant. He said there was no question that she had been hurt, based on her injuries.
Bray would not discuss the specific injuries because he said the woman's attorney, Rob Wheeler, advised him not to. Bray told the Post he would not discuss the specific injuries she suffered, because he was advised by the woman's attorney not to.
His comments were the first confirmation of injuries that district attorney Mark Hurlbert alluded to when he announced the charge against Bryant last week.

The sole purpose of hiring of a plaintiffs attorney is to pursue $$.
So what is it...? She didn't like it in the butt during the rough sex or she was in it for the money...?

Thanks for the salt in my wounds! I married a Lakers fanatic and Kobe made me a Lakers fanatic as well. Unbelievably talented young man, and until this situation someone who I hoped would be a role model and lift the lives of many kids out there.

I can't imagine any of my or even your friends stooping that low for their 5 minutes of fame. Friendships meant something in our day. I still value them.

Precisely! (Though I've read there's some question whether the top photo is actually of her.)

I wonder how much the "source" is being paid for his services. You know, I am trying to give Kobe the benefit of the doubt, but the more this girl is trashed the more inclined I am to believe her.

Offering her money to "trash her friend" was you assertion. It looks like that they were offering her money to tell her story to me. SOP for the Enquirer who pays for exlusive interviews. I don't believe the article supports your assertion that money was offered for lies or to portray a paticular point of view.

So if Clinton is a rapist, Kobe is one too?For the record - Do you believe Juanita Broaddrick or Bill Clinton ?
- Do you believe Kathleen Willey or Bill Clinton ?
- Do you believe Paula Jones or Bill Clinton ?
Can you tell me how they (the cases) are related?
Powerful men, surrounded by bodyguards thugs, consuming young women as if they were appetizers, sexually assauting those who resist and destroying those who complain, all with the support and approval of the wife. Their fans support them because they score for their team. They wildly hope they can pull out a three-pointer to beat the clock and win the game.

I don't know why the victim is always blamed in these cases.Uhh, it's "alleged" victim. If she was raped, she is a victim---therefore it's not her fault. Questioning whether she was raped or not isn't blaming the victim. It's determining whether there was a victim.

So what is it...? She didn't like it in the butt during the rough sex or she was in it for the money...? I have no idea about the anal sex. That's one assertion that's been reported. She could have a variety of motives if she is lying and they are not mutually exclusive.

Wow. What an argument. As opposed to supporting a rapist, I'll take it any day.

I don't know that Perry's "source" was paid anything. Do you?
Perry Smith is the voice of the Denver Nuggets. I will speculate that his source just might be a Nugget, and therefore hardly in need of money!

I don't know WHAT happenedNot quite...You've already made your assumptions too.
You think the victim isn't ALWAYS to blame
You've already decided she's a victim.
