Its probably satire. I don't think the Bambi Lovers want Bambi in their backyard.

City planning=bad.
Deer=good.
People=bad.
Animals=good.
Houses and backyards=bad
Wilderness=good
I think I got it.

What are the odds that the letter's author, who wants to declare deer "sacred," supports abortion at will?

Yak! That might be the most disgusting thing I ever read. It needs more than a barf alert. Where in hell is the "woofing chunks" alert?

These handsome and harmless citizens...Oh, so deer are citizens now. When can we expect them to start paying their fair share in taxes?
To: Behind Liberal Lines
Actually, a large deer population will be really useful. After nut-jobs like this one crush our civilization and force us all to live in caves -- we can eat the deer to stay alive.

I wonder if this idiot happens to drive one of those 'evil' cars...

Deer are victims of the evil and ever burgeoning automobile populationEspecially when they jump off of overpasses:

"Stop this unfair blame and crass prosecution. Leave the deer alone!"
Great idea! Let's have a hunting season for nosy, busy-body type Liberal journalists instead. That would certainly motivate me to pay for an expensive out-of-state hunting license.

May the deer prosper and multiply in peace. Ah yes, what a wonderful, happy, and loving thing to say. Until the entire town becomes overcrowded and they eat all the vegetation, at which point they will die of either starvation or from a car. I'd rather die of a gunshot or a wolf myself. This person is a moron.

This is fine. Leave the deer alone in the city. Nice deer. Oh my, that's something you don't see every day. Hopefully, the author of this letter and the city council will cross the path of Mr. Buck in rut and, for some unknown reason, irritate the hell out of him.

There is certainly room for all of God's creatures...

Deer to not cause accidents Considering that it's not unusual for deer to run into cars -- the side of them -- deer DO cause accidents. A friend's wife was almost killed by a buck who ran into the side of her car. Thankfully, she survived the flailing rack & legs after he slammed into the driver's side rear door.
Then there's the deer who ran into the woman's car while she was in the process of loading groceries....
Deer are indeed beautiful creatures. I've enjoyed watching them many, many times. They taste good, too.

I have more deer than I can count in my back yard. I haven't gotten around to getting my NC hunting license since moving here from NY. Buy my neighbor is a big hunter and I let him set up tree stands in my back yard. The deal is he can kill all he wants but he must share the meat.
It's a great arraingment. Even though he is 3 houses over, his back yard is not good for deer hunting where mine is perfect.
