Yesterday I hit the quilt shop with my birthday gift certificate. Got the cert in April and just now using it. I bought tons of fat quarters and fat eighths...I do hand applique quilts primarily. I've done machine quilting but there's something about handwork that thrills me.

Sorry to monopolize the board with quilting. LOL Ohhhhhh, I love handwork too!! My favorite is embroidery...I like sewing vintage redwork patterns. I don't know how to applique yet. I will learn.

I saw a bunch of cute nautical and vintage sailboat type fabric today. I think that's going to be my first project. Ally has grandparents who sail every weekend. I'm going to get her to help me.
