Sure brings back the memories!
My first computer was a Timex Sinclair 1000 that I paid $99.95 for at the local Venture dept. store. I also bought the optional expansion pack which gave it a whopping 64K RAM!
I remember when I got my first VIC-20...it seemed light years ahaed of the Timex.
I spent hours typing code into it from the PC magazines.

Sure do miss those days.

I remember thinking, 64k of memory?!? That's more memory than we'll ever need.

The thing I remembered about my C-64 is that occasionally the power supply would overheat and cause the machine to freeze. So I concocted a solution, I surrounded the transformer with an ice pack, worked like a charm.

Growing up we had a Commodore 64, Commodore 128, Amiga, Atari 400 and 800 (we also had the Intelivision, not really a 'PC' though)

My 10th birthday was celebrated with a Commodore 64.

Hellcat ACE was my favorite game, loaded from cassette tape.

I have 2 Amiga 500s I play with occasionally. I need to get an emulator for my PC.

Interesting fact: The Apollo Programs Command and LEM vehicals onboard computers used the same computing power that one finds in commodores.

Ahhh, the memories. I remember connecting to Compuserve with my first Commodore 64 and a 300 baud modem. It took hours and $$$$ just to download and display a .GIF file. I used it to hack local BBSs (never hurt anything, just grabbed all the password files). And the games were just plain fun (JumpMan, etc.)

I had twelve C64 power supplies stored out in my workshop up until a couple of years ago. (Got them at an auction in 1991 and threw out the entire lot 3-4 years ago). I'd be rich beyond the dreams of avarice (well, kind of) if I had kept them and Ebayed them.

Commodore Pet, the original Commie PC!

I learned to program on one of these suckers the summer before 5th grade at a summer class taught at my elementary school. I remember that since so few kids had experience with a keyboard back then, the first project was to type the alphabet so that we could learn where the keys are.

Proud owner of a Commodore SX-64 Portable Gymnasium checking in.

I even have a Fresnel lens to magnify the 5" screen, à la Brazil.

I remember those. I used to have a TRS 80(Radio Shack) and the Intellivison.

That's old school there.

I'm not sure what kind of computer it is but at work we have an old terminal workstation that lists our job dispatches.

It took a while to learn to hit "cursor tab" and send/receive" after every command.

My first computer was the Timex/Sinclair, but my first "real" computer was an Amiga.

The Amiga was a quantum leap over comparable computers, it had color 320x200 graphics with stereo sound. All of the IBM machines of the time had green text and a "bleep bloop" internal speaker. Can't believe Commodore didn't sell millions of those.

I used to have an old Atari 130XE. My parents gave it away without my knowledge or permission when I left for college. I'm still very angry about that.
