[history]
An autopsy is scheduled for today for a fetus found early Friday in the trash container of a west-central Fresno apartment complex. A resident of the Ashmark Arms apartments found the full-term female fetus wrapped in a blood-soaked bed comforter while he dumped garbage about 3:15 a.m., Fresno police Lt. Dennis Bridges said.

A Memorial at the dumpster site was set up. Pictures to follow. Notice how the reporters say "full term female fetus" which means a BABY for God's sake! Sheeeesh. The reporter/editor is a far-left liberal, a Chinese agent, or dumber than a bag of doorknobs!

She said the police will not release details of the autopsy to the press. Wonder why?! That is odd.
BTW, I called her on their use of the term "full term female fetus". She didn't have an answer as to why they didn't say baby girl. She tried to blame it on the police report which didn't make sense to me.
Keep up the good work. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Ya think that would help? You mean: "Bring back shame?"
Sorry, but folks have been 'taught' by our 'culture' to BRAG and revel in the things they should be ashamed about.
Public scorn and condemnation no longer work. All it gets for your effort is a "F*** You!" and "Who are YOU to try and IMPOSE your values onto me???"

My letter to and response from the editors: Sirs,
I am writing regarding your twice-published description of a recently discovered "full-term fetus" in the following articles:
- http://www.fresnobee.com/state_wire/story/7124289p-8054804c.html
A fetus, as defined by The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition, is "the unborn young from the end of the eighth week after conception to the moment of birth". By definition, then, the term "fetus" can only refer to the product of conception still in the womb. Once expelled from the womb, a fetus is an INFANT. Whether it is dead or alive does not affect its humanity.
I hope that this is a case of a shoddy wordsmith, not the shameless editorializing of the abortion issue.
Out of respect for the tragically departed, a correction is in order.
Thank you.
Mr. Williams, Our newspaper's use of the term "fetus" was neither shoddy wordsmith, nor the shameless editorializing of the abortion issue.
We've used the term "fetus" in the two articles because that's the term the Fresno Police Department has used. Unfortunately, autopsy results aren't available yet, so it's still unknown to us whether the term is technically correct. However, if we were to use "baby" or "child" while the police use the term "fetus," we would be getting into the exact "editorializing of the abortion issue" that you're concerned about. We simply don't know whether it died as a fetus in the womb or as a child. Apparently, the police don't, either. Or they didn't when the articles were written. If it is found to have been a live child when it was born, rest assured we'll stop using the term fetus. Until then, we can't presume to know more than the investigators.
Thanks for reading,

I look at the pictures of my three daughters and then I see this.....and I weep.I have grandchildren, too. Last night I took my granddaughter (2-1/2) to the store. She rode on the "rocket to the moon" for a quarter. We had such a good time even though she can be bratty sometimes. They are so precious. They were sent by God. I guess we're in the end times.

This says it all, those bastards! They use the word "it" to describe the baby girl. They spit in your face after you went to all the trouble to write to them. This is sickening. By the way, thank you for taking the time to write to them. Sheeeeeesh! Their answer is so insulting. What to do?

Calm down.... It's not that bad.
After all, they were defending themselves from the only two choices given them in the e-mail.
I can see WHY they just state it as the investigators did.

We can't let the left win out on this. They are using that cliché, right wing, so much, pretty soon nobody will listen.

Mess with a turtle egg and get a yr. in jail and a $50K fine, abort a child, get paid $750.00, I think JEB Bush and the US congress should address this issue. And we wonder why there is NO respect for HUMAN life created in God's image.

As part of the ad campaign they can post signs in front of hospitals.
81 left to the elements a year. 29 die.
What could be so bad that these woman/couples will not seek help.
There is no excuse if the hospitals will take newborns.
How are these pregnancies going unnoticed? There can't be that many woman with no friends or family can there?

I always tell people I am a right wing in a PC World.
Kids get a sunburn that blisters (as hazel eyed red heds will do) mom is charged with neglect.
Baby drop off spots (which I am glad they have) no problem.

These same environmentalists who love animal and plant life - they're the same ones who think it's okay to torture and kill unborn babies.

For the record - The Coroner's Office has just given us permission to claim Baby Jane Doe's body. She's going to get a proper burial and memorial service. Do you know if we can give her a name? We were thinking "Little Angel". I wonder what the marker should say. We have a lot of work to do. It's sooooooo very sad. Her little body has been in cold storage all this time. No one has come forward to claim her. The Coroner's office said we must bury her - we would never have even thought of cremation anyway - because they might have to exhume the body in the future if something happens. Anyway, thought you'd like to know. Thanks for prayers, concern, love and pro life thoughts.
