Thanks, Jeff, for the ping.
anymouse,
When I first saw this, I thought it was one of the many wonderful email stories that were, in fact, just fiction. The pictures are wonderful. Thanks for posting this.

Not a day goes by that thousands of us out here in flyover country say prayers for our brave soldiers.
I found that photo, btw... Don't know who the soldier is, though.

As for myself, the sight of all of those children holding flags makes me happy to see evidence that there are still children in this country being raised correctly
Far more than you'd realize. Rest assured.
We can praise God for that!

James was one of the 507th.
This thread shed's more light.
Post 36 is most informative.
The people in Comfort, TX were aware of how their fallen son went down I am sure...and they sent en masse a message to those animals, to America, to James and his family and to God in Heaven.
God bless them all...God rest James...and God comfort his wife and child and parents and loved ones there in Comfort, TX...where the town lived up to its name.

See my post 106.

Texans are unique folks, aren't they..
You just have to love them and respect them....
It's really a shame that all fallen warriors are not honored by their "community" as this young warrior was....
The heartbreaking truth, is that this young man's funeral was notable in that is was the exception to the rule.

I can't talk! This put one of those lumps in my throat, too. It has the same impact this time around.
