Who isn't saddened to hear that Laleh and Ladan Bijani -- the twins from Iran, joined at the head -- died from the surgery they hoped would separate them? Only 29 years old, intelligent, educated, engaging, basically healthy -- here were two women who put their faith in God and medicine, trusting that "Operation Hope" would allow them the physical independence they craved. Still, it is hard to account for the level of interest and subsequent grief shown by perfect strangers around the world. What was it about this tragic tale of two women born conjoined that resonated with so many people?

Wow. I haven't seen that sort of devotion since the wives on the Titanic who refused to get onto the lifeboats. Well, the few who did refuse.
Bingo. And that is why I posted this article. This story saddened all of us, and because the author has a lot of experience with conjoined twins, it starts out as a very heartwarming read. But then the author reveals the hidden social agend of the typical liberal opportunist as she tries to help us understand what it means to be a conjoined twin. Even if homosexuality were innate (it isn't), a homosexual would have no more commonground than you or I. And this is from the Wall Street Journal, for crying out loud!
