Actor Pleads No Contest to Porn Charge
LOS ANGELES - Actor Jeffrey Jones (news), who played the high school principal in the 1980s comedy "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," pleaded no contest Tuesday to a felony charge of employing a 14-year-old boy to pose for sexually explicit photos.
Jones was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to register as a sex offender and undergo counseling.
A misdemeanor charge of possession or control of child pornography was dropped.
"I'm sorry that this incident was allowed to occur. Such an event has never happened before and it will never happen again," Jones said outside court. The 56-year-old actor also appeared in the films "Beetlejuice" and "Sleepy Hollow" and was Emperor Joseph II in 1984's "Amadeus."
Jones had been free on $20,000 bond. He was arrested Nov. 14 after a 12-month investigation that also resulted in the arrest of actor Paul Reubens (news), who is best known for the character Pee-wee Herman.
Reubens, 50, who is free on $20,000 bail, has pleaded innocent to one misdemeanor count of possessing material depicting children under 18 engaging in sexual conduct.
The charge, which carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail and a $2,500 fine, resulted from a search of Reubens' home in November 2001. Police seized his art collection and personal computers.

"I'm sorry that this incident was allowed to occur. Such an event has never happened before and it will never happen again," Jones said outside court. I'm sorry that this pervert is still allowed to breathe free air. Such an event happens all too often and should never happen again.

"Unless, of course, I get caught," he said later.

"I'm sorry that this incident was allowed to occur..."...interesting phrasing - as though the incident just materialized from nowhere and smacked him in the face before he could do anything about it - he apparently still feels no responsibility (or probably guilt) for what happened....

"I'm sorry that this incident was allowed to occur. Such an event has never happened before and it will never happen again," Jones said outside court.Spoken like someone in denial. I've got to say, it blew me away last year when they showed him at his arraignment. These actors bring laughter and entertainment to our lives one day and the next day are showing their true selves. After Operation Iraqi Freedom, I'm losing count of how many whose movies I will not go to.
Went to see Auhnold in Terminator 3 . . . my opinion . . . great flick. Anyway they show the previews of the next Clint Eastwood (Directed/Produced) Movie (based on a true story). I like Eastwood, but this movie will star Sean Penn . . . no way Jose! I won't put money in that traitors pockets.

He was in Easy Money with Rodney Dangerfield. In that film Joe Pesci called him "half a fag". This seemed like a good description of the semi-effeminate character he played (which was in part type-casting). But maybe there was a deeper observation in this remark. He did an excellent job in Amadeus.

Yea, he's not a bad actor, just a real scumbag in real life.
If he had been a non-person (like the rest of us) he'd be spending some quality time with "Bubba"

Probably because it turned out the material either did not portray minors engaged in sex acts, or it was impossible to determine whether minors were depicted or not. This is a real problem as these cases are prosecuted, many times it turns out the material is not true child porn. Other times the offenders are in possession of so much of it that it's not feasible to determine whether some of it is illegal.

No jail time. I suppose if I took nekkid pictures of a 14 yr old girl I could expect to stay out of the slammer? Not.

"I'm sorry that this incident was allowed to occur. I love how these people will not admit responsibility for the actions they take.
Apparently he 'allowed' the youngster to take money from his wallet and 'allowed' the camera to take the photos and 'allowed' someone to develop them ....

WHY was this dropped? I would guess part of a plea bargain. The did get him for the more serious charge.
