What can I say - the Kali legislature is now, officially, off of its rocker. I'm sure that many of you have said this before, but this article puts the nail in the coffin.
You've just got to love the principled position of Rudy Bermudez - he's only worried if HE can go to jail under this law for possessing a round of ordinary ammunition, not anyone else.
I've emphasized certain points in bold.

It looks like Koretz is finally backing down:
AB 50 Status:
LAST HIST. ACTION : In committee: Set, first hearing. Hearing canceled at the request of author.
Maybe he got enough of looking like a complete blithering idiot in the first hearing.

She never mentions gun control, but the circus described sounds like a Rand novel.

They pull that here in RI all the time. When we find out they are planning to do something criminal and show up in strength, they cancel the meeting, hoping to sneak it in some time later when no one's looking.
Keep your eyes on the bastards.

But as with any debate regarding logic, the Constitution, and reason against a liberal, you are wasting your breath.

Have to agree .....that's what a boot to the head is for IMO.........:o)
It's gonna come to such in our lifetime I believe. When they can't afford to keep criminals in prison but can make law abidding citizens criminals as they hide in their homes then the conduit between capitalism and communisum commonly refered to as socialism has no further use to even the DemonRats. Short of ex-presidents , ex-polidiots are not a protected species from crime or unconstitutional abuse after they leave office. The sh*t they are pushing on us is a place they too will have to dwell in also......I can hardly wait for em to fall in their own pile !
Stay Safe BoT !

Your opponent Rudy was on the right side this time (although only for selfish reasons).

Why don't you get out of that $#@*hole state, while you can? I get really tired of this kind of idiotic crap. Do you really think that if California goes down the tubes that the same problems won't wind up on your doorstep? Do you really think the liberals will sit on their heels or will they move on to their next target of opportunity as California's problems drag down the rest of the country? Haven't you noticed how many bureaucrats and illegals seem to be inhabiting Western states? Look at what happened to Arizona.
Conservatives who run away from their principles at the sign of trouble don't deserve the Constitutional rights they won't defend.

The way to beat the gun-grabbers in Cali would seem to be in the newly popular ballot initiative.
Get a million signatures and then the whole state has to have an election to vote on your proposal.
Mine would say: All state of California gun laws prior to this date are hereby voided, and enforcement or prosecution of any of the newly voided laws is hereby made a felony.

IMHO, the only was to save Californication is to allow it to implode. Just as when a parent continually rescues a foolish teen from suffering the consequences of his/her actions only leads the teen to perform even more foolish stunts, rescuing California only emboldens the Rats to greater feats of tyranny.
Atlas Shrugged.

Kali is FUBAR. The question is, can America remain a superpower with Kali morphing into Aztlanistan?
