[history]
July 3, 2003 -- MICHAEL Savage has been permanently dropped from WABC' lineup following the collapse of West Coast contract talks that used the Bronx-raised blabber's beloved New York affiliation as leverage.
WABC (770 AM) abruptly yanked Savage off the air earlier this month in solidarity with its San Francisco sister station, KSFO, during noisy negotiations with Savage, who's based at KSFO but is syndicated by another company.

That's because you are awesome like my wife and daughters. You are probably a true blue woman and yet ten times the man any of these hand-wringing pantywaist whiner-boys will ever hope to be.

So because we have no absolute definitive reading on the exact # of nukes and ICBMs they have you jump to the naive conclusion that they don't have ANY? Brilliant thinking...LOL. It's estimated they have enough strategic nukes to blow us to smithereens --- exact #s don't mean squat. Amazing, you just can't admit that you're wrong. Sick, actually. China has nukes, and they've had them for a while now. The information in that link (of the American Federation of Scientists) says as much. Deal with it, or don't.
To: Thorondir
Seems you conveniently skipped over this part:
"Current estimates assert that only about 20 ICBMs are in service - the Dong Feng (East Wind)-5A. This figure is surprising in light of China's ability to produce the same basic booster in larger numbers as the Long March 2 satellite launcher. The U.S. government has stated that in 1981 there were DF-5As deployed in hardened silos at two sites. It is thought to carry the largest warhead ever tested by China (4-5 Mt)."
20 ICMBs. ...That's 20 U.S. cities (for those of you who live in Rio Linda).
To: Mr. Mojo
...you jump to the naive conclusion that they don't have ANY?
In a word, "no". But one must wonder where you pulled that wild-eyed leap of illogic from.
The information in that link (of the American Federation of Scientists)
Ha, ha, haaaaaa! I love it. Let's all depend upon the sky-is-falling crowd, misquote them and struggle to defend the most outrageously erroneous post ever written. Oh, man! My side hurts!
To: Thorondir
You are one sick and deluded guy.

You have to get used to Savage. I love Lars Larson, and Hannity is nice but Savage has the passion and he is like the ministers in the early founding of this country....His logic is great and his knowledge of history is superb--way better than Hannity's and he can express ideas, concepts and morals better than anyone in a very concise manner. I find him as one of the few sane, decent people in entertainment today. He does get angry but rightly so! and it is so refreshing to have someone actually have the guts to put feelings into words like he does!

China has the capacity to take out every major U.S. city with hydrogen bombs.
ROTFLOL!

I (laughing so hard I can hardly type) didn't know we only had 20 major cities. I have to wonder why Tucson is listed in the top 100 major cities in America. (laughing) I just cannot wait for your next desperate modification or leap of illogic. (You're killing me, man!)
To: savagesusie
I couldn't agree more, lady. But his ideas on God are rather wacky.
To: Thorondir
Forget sick and deluded ....STUPID is more like it. However one determines the definition of a
major U.S. city, destroying "only" 20 of our largest cities would devestate us beyond your wildest imaginings.
Seriously, are you drunk or just brain dead?
To: Mr. Mojo
20 is not every. Let me say it again, every is not 20. You were caught in a frothy fabrication with urine streaming down your quaking legs.
LOL! Calling me stupid or drunk will not change the fact.
To: Thorondir
I didn't say "every". I said "every U.S. MAJOR city. LOL...and I don't consider Tuscon a major city ...and neither does anyone who lives outside of southern Arizona. ...LOL....you need to get out more.
To: Thorondir
Calling me stupid or drunk will not change the fact. I know. ...Aparently nothing will.
To: Mr. Mojo
I guess nearly a million people make it a small town, and making the Census Bureau's list of major cities doesn't count because it didn't make The Marvelous Mojo List of Malleable Fears & Fantasies Facts.
To: Mr. Mojo
ROTFLMAO!

Besides, Levin is a Freeper. How do you know that? I have admired Mark Levin (The Great One) since I first saw him on FNC during the 2000 election debacle. I love his intelligent responses given in that cynical and deadpan tone. Isn't he an attorney? I wonder if he would even be interested in doing talk radio full time.
I used to work for WABC/Disney (TV not radio) and for some reason Sean Hannity was having lunch with a couple of guys at the ABC cafeteria one day. I went up to his table and told him I watched his show on FNC all the time. He was very gracious and down-to-earth and stopped by my table to thank me again as he was leaving the cafeteria. I had yet to see Mark Levin on FNC as this was well before the election. I think I now know how it is Levin came to appear as a political analyst---at the suggestion of Sean Hannity, most likely. Two terrific gentlemen!
As for Michael Savage, I had never even heard of him until it was announced he was getting a show on MSNBC. I tried to watch one of his shows but I guess I just don't understand his appeal. But Disney does suck. Michael Eisner used to send emails to everyone who worked for Disney, which obviously includes ABC. He nearly always used "Dear Castmembers" as his salutation in the emails. Too bad he wasn't standing in the newsroom when people opened them. He might have quit considering them as castmembers in his great play if he'd have heard what people said. Then again, he probably doesn't care what they think of him as long as he continues to get his annual bonuses. Okay. Enough rambling. :-)

Very extremist of you. I never said it was a small town. It's merely a medium-sized city, not a major one. Face it, you just got your ass kicked from here to Ajo.
To: Dont Mention the War
Savage alternates between informative, entertaining, and excrutiatingly obnoxious. I listened to the original "angry American," Bob Grant, and Savage is no Bob Grant. Bob Grant, before he was excoriated by the press and became a classic study in the "politics of personal destruction," only got angry when confronting stupidity. Savage seemed perpetually angry.
Now Mark Levin, the Great One, I could listen to him talk for hours a day. A brilliant mind is riveting and, to the discriminating female freeper, highly atractive. Despite a deep and abiding love for my husband, I nearly swooned listening to the Great One dissect the Constitution, verbally flay liberals on Fox News, and defend the founding principles of our country and system of justice.
To: Mr. Mojo
I shouldn't do this. It just isn't fair. But I can't resist. LOL!
To: All
This is great news. Now that Savage is not shackled by abc, the offers for greater and more lucrative offers are open to him.
I'm sure they are all just standing in line waiting to speak and hand offers to him...
