Let me repeat what I said in #51 "
You can say that again. So few words for such a powerful message! It appears that we can now add Liberia in the same context as Afghanistan and Iraq.
Thanks for everything that our military is doing to protect the world.

Too cool, HiJinx. I think I'll take the Kitt Peak tour tonight. 3500 tv channels!!! WOW! Thanks for the tours of the telescopes. And the Mount Graham tour looks interesting too.

Arnie to visit troops in Iraq
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Action movie hero Arnold "Terminator" Schwarzenegger is taking his act to U.S. troops in the Gulf for the U.S. Independence Day holiday, the military service organisation, USO, says.
The Hollywood star will be screening his new movie, "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," for the soldiers and touring stations at several locations in the region.
The USO did not say exactly where Schwarzenegger would be visiting, and a spokeswoman was not immediately available to comment Wednesday afternoon.
In "Rise of the Machines," Schwarzenegger portrays a human- looking machine from the future who comes to Earth to save the life a young man who is destined to save the world.
The movie opened in the United States on Wednesday.

I have found a few goodies in the latest edition of Reader's Digest that I want to share. I hope this will keep our military visitors busy should they get bored looking at sand over the holiday.
Here is one:

Here's another. Things to think about when you have time.
Ever Wonder....
---Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?
---Why you never see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?
---Why Noah didn't swat those two mosquitoes?

"Now sit down at that table and write: 'I will not pass through a red light' five hundred times!" I love it! What great satisfaction for the judge. LOL! Off to email.

Two blonde hunters drove into the woods to go bear hunting. Before long, they came to a fork in the road. A sign said, "Bear Left." So, they turned around and went home. Actually I changed the beginning and made them blonde...he he

Here's one from Humor in Uniform....... During Desert Storm, one of our co-workers was called to serve in Iraq. Upon his safe return and arrival back at work, we tied yellow ribbons around numerous trees and hung a huge sign that read "We missed you...thank God the Iraqis did too!" (by Billie McCracken)

Ok, now a few brain-teasers to keep you busy if needed......
Rearrange the letters in each word to make a new word....but the two new words must rhyme. Example: Elan--Nadir = Lane--Drain.....
1. Flee--Laze
2. West--Luge
3. Sift--Dishes
4. Wrong--Hornet
5. Tiler--Rebate
6. Artist--Fighter
7. Taint--Berthing
8. Cuter--Oleos
9. Trace--Raptor
10. Busier--Ozones
Good luck.

Anybody just see Dolly Parton on Fox News?
Gotta love her -- especially her "those who don't love this country can just leave" comments.
My comments concern her plastic surgery: Her facial appearance has changed a lot. It sure looked to me like she's had those collagen injections to pump up her lips, etc. She's still a beautiful lady, but it's a different type of beauty than if she were allowing herself to age naturally. Is the artificial version what's preferred today?
I'd like to think that my grandkids like that my face actually moves and crinkles when I smile at them. Maybe that's old-fashioned.... (Anybody familiar with the poem "Love at Fifty" by Marcia Woodruff? I'd post it, but even though it's PG, I'm not sure this is the forum for it. Probably the wrong place for the "plastic" discussion, too.)
