Unfazed, Clinton has kept a heavy schedule of appearances. By her estimate, she's signed 10,000 copies of her memoirs. Hey wait a sec: Didn't she sign "2,000" copies that first day a Rockafeller Center? What's going on here?
Are we, gulp, being misled?

Unfazed, Clinton has kept a heavy schedule of appearances. She is campaigning at Simon and Schuster's expense, similar to her "listening" tour of NY.

"Considering the number of protesters she attracts, Clinton said, she's surprised she hasn't received more negative comments at book signings"
Does that seem odd and self-convciting to anyone else?

What is interesting is that Ann Coulter has NEVER done a public book signing. Yet her book is burying Hitlery's on the sales charts. What does that tell you????

How come we know where her book signings are scheduled to be and when? Wasn't it lifted from the publishers web site? The reporter needs to do some fact checking once and awhile.

Did anybody notice that Richard Cohen, the ultra liberal Columnist for the the WashPost, did a hit job on Ann's new book yesterday. When the libs start criticising her you know the book has hit a raw nerve. I hope more libs knock her book. That means they are feeling the sting. He must of said 3 or 4 times that he was sure the book would be a best seller. Of course he was right about that.

"I try to look at people," she told Newsday. "I give [them] five or six or seven seconds to say something. Some are tongue-tied, some have a whole speech prepared, some give me letters." "They just kiss my ring and are dismissed", she added.

About 7 seconds maybe?

I was talking to someone in a class last week who had been in a bookstore where "SHE" was signing the night before - the line was pretty long, but to actually get your book signed, you had to have picked up a slip earlier in the day. Nobody told the people who were waiting in line, that, though, so when they found out they had waited all that time for nothing, there was a public scene. How unfortunate.

Living History, Clinton's book, continues to do a brisk business I don't believe this. It fell out of the top 10, and every bookstore I go into (in Boston, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, and Atlanta in the past two weeks) has a nice, seemingly untouched display of this book. I never see anyone looking at it, carrying it, or buying it.
And it seems to be half price at many bargain bins. Selling briskly, my patootie.
