Hillary bedeviled by protesters

Protesters have become a regular feature at book signings by Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), but so far, according to Clinton's publisher, Simon & Schuster, they haven't hurt sales.
Now Clinton may have another problem that could: conservative blonde nemesis Ann Coulter and her new bestseller, Treason.
Living History, Clinton's book, continues to do a brisk business, yet by the beginning of the week Coulter's anti-liberal tome had buried it on Amazon's nonfiction bestseller list. Treason started the week in the No. 1 spot, while Living History had fallen out of the top 10.
Unfazed, Clinton has kept a heavy schedule of appearances. By her estimate, she's signed 10,000 copies of her memoirs.
"I try to look at people," she told Newsday. "I give [them] five or six or seven seconds to say something. Some are tongue-tied, some have a whole speech prepared, some give me letters."
Considering the number of protesters she attracts, Clinton said, she's surprised she hasn't received more negative comments at book signings. For security reasons Simon & Schuster has never posted her appearances on its website.
"One man in a devil's costume . . .has been following me for three years," Clinton said.
The devil didnt show a week ago when she signed books at a store in Huntington, N.Y., but there was a guy dressed in desert fatigues and a Hillary mask calling himself "Rodham Hussein."

Truth is, he hasn't been attending the signings. Gasp! It must really be the devil!!!

How can one book (Treason) knock the witches book from being a "best seller," unless of course, the witches book was #10 to begin with. . .but wait. . .we were told her book was up there, pushing at Number One on the list. . .so, tell me again how one book can knock another book off the list. . .perhaps it's the fact that the witches book is not selling, never was a good sale, and that the media hype and lies ran out of gas.

"One man in a devil's costume . . .has been following me for three years," Clinton said. Sorry, Hill, that wasn't a man in a costume. That was old Beelzebub himself, checking up on his investment.

Does anyone know who gets stuck with the books that do not sell? The book stores, the publishers?.... I'm sure it's not HRC.

My sister, who used to be in publishing, tells me that the publishers decide in advance which books they will accept as returns. She thinks that hillary's book is a "no return" one, so the book stores will end up taking the loss.
We should see the book in remainder piles or in charity piles if that's so.

I live in a very Liberal area. B&N has Ann's book in a very favorable display, too. They don't count the best sellers until the end of the week, and Ann's book hasn't been out long enough to be counted.
hillary's book was #1 last week, so she's in that slot (11 of the 12 slots still full). Right by that display is a cardboard stand with a big picture of Ann, and room for maybe 24 books, but only 8 were there. Ann's book was also prominent on the "New Non-Fiction" table, and about 8 were in that stack.
Treason isn't 30% off yet - they only do that for Best Sellers, so I'm waiting until next week to buy my copy.

My library had it the day after it was released. I, too, live in a liberal area so I wonder if they do they to cut down sales. They don't have Hillary's book yet.

"I try to look at people," she told Newsday. "I give [them] five or six or seven seconds to say something. Some are tongue-tied, some have a whole speech prepared, some give me letters." Dang, 5 seconds .. ain't she just special
That is a great point. I went to Michele Malkin's book signing etc, and I noticed that there does not seem to be any arbitrary time constraint on conversations. Only a contriving mind like Hillary's would think to brag in such a phoney way. I hope she runs, she is one of the most obviously arrogant public figures I have ever seen.

Tomorrow we will learn how to walk, count and tell time!

Someone needs to put the jacket cover of Hitlery's book on a copy of Treason and get Hitlery to sign it! Ideally if you accomplish that, get Ann to sign it afterwards =)

You just got a mention for your devil costume from Mark Levin on WABC who has been doing a 7-9 PM show since Savage has been in contract dispute.

They don't have Hillary's book yet. That's a real hoot! It wouldn't surprise me if they did that to boost sales. After all, this whole campaign tour is designed to boost sales as well.
hillary can get away with sales tactics that would get anyone else arrested.
