The Hillary FReeping started in Chicago this morning with breakfast at Svea, a sweedish restaurant across the street from Women & Children First, the gay & lesbian book store that "hosted" the Beast. I was the first to arrive followed quickly by Chicagolady, GRRRRR, Endeavor and her friend (who came all the way from Champaign), SteveA (who came down from Milwaukee), Unspun.
While everyone was enjoying breakfast, I walked over and talked to the police cheif and some officers and let them know our purpose and peaceful intent. They were happy to have us there and gave us a prime location on the corner right across from the line. The one officer said to the chief "hey, here's our loud & obnoxious protesters" jokingly and I said "we're not here to be obnoxious"...he laughed and said "can't you just be a little obnoxious?" They asked why we protested, I gave them various reasons, the one officer asked if I was a Republican, I proudly announced I was and he asked if he could join our side and I told him gladly.
After breakfast other FReepers like TheRightGuy, BillyBoy, and a few others joined us in line on our side of the street. The police were very nice to us and made comments throughout the FReep like "you guys are the only normal ones here" and "you guys are great because you don't block the streets"...we told them how much we appreciated them.
Several FReepers were interviewed by local media which included ABC, CBS, NBC, WGN, FOX & ChicagoTV in addition to radio WBBM and news papers such as the Sun Times and Chicago Tribune. We feel we all came across as normal and not overly emotional. The liberals, of course, could not stand the fact that we were using their own tactics against them. We were filmed constantly by a guy in a red floral shirt that we think was from DU but he wouldn't admit to it.
Hillary arrived in a "perky" little Katie Couric style outfit with a sweater thrown over her shoulders and left in the infamous black pant suit. We had a variety of signs and I'm sure FReepers will post pictures to follow as we get them developed. GRRRRR has some digital that will be up right away, I have film that will be posted later.
We were effectively annoying to the liberals and it remained peaceful through out....Chicagolady showed up in a Statue of Liberty costume and we all had fun. As Hiltery "left the building" we all chanted "we believe Jaunita"
We'd like to thank the Chicago PD who was very accomadating and professional.
He was a little touchy for my taste. After all, I quickly replied "Yea, sorry I was generalizing" and he laid into me about the continental congress, et al. A little fervent, I'd say.
Yeah, that was him. Funny, it looks like he's talking to himself...
He probably hasn't noticed. Hehe... Funny how the DUh'ers are always talking about how we don't have the numbers turning out for these things, but they rarely have any turnout at all, and what few do occasionally show up are too big a cowards to actually interact with FReepers, in spite of all their big talk in their little RAThole.
I think you read it the wrong way. She was trying to tell us to 'get lost'. 'Go read the bible instead of learning about Hillary's adventures'. 'Leave us alone'.
She was a little looney anyways, she ranted without much substance quite a bit.
Absolutely. The guy would only ask quick little worthless questions. He really had one thing in mind, taping us to find that little bit of something to turn the DU site on its head because we 'broke our own rules', hence the 'get a job' crap. It was funny at first, but then after a while I started feeling a little... nah, I'm not gonna say it...
Can hardly believe you all actaully saw her get out the US TAXPAYER'S SUV. Normally she scurries in some back door. Maybe no such door was available at the bookstore.
Did Piper not come?
I was on a '47 Farmall Cub all day cultivating my grapes (gee my butt is sore, I need to get a new spring for that seat)
I wish I had been up there with you guys, but you gotta do what you gotta do..
Not true, the ones I talked to were definitely Republicans.
but first they are loyal to the Daley machine
I've also found this to not be entirely true.
Rule #1 don't anger Daley in Chicago if you are a Democrat and want to be president. But that is what Hillary did today.
I agree with you there....Daley's absence was quite apparent. And only two of the most liberal alderman showed up....one got the honor of carrying "old crusty"
On NBC5 news, they just did their 15 second blurb on Hitlery. They briefly showed you guys, then the voice-over was something to the effect of "Senator Clinton was rather vague in her response to a question about the protestors.."
REPORTER: "Senator Clinton, what do you think about the protesters who've gathred outside?"
HITLERY: "I think it's a great day, and I'm so excited to meet all the people who've come out to see me."
LMAO!!!
Classic diversion answer!
She doesn't even answer the question.
Oh, PLEASE America see this FRAUD for who she is!!!
How about it, Mia....care to post some links in here so we can educate the DUh Spies???? It's quite evident they are linking over to here if you look at their posts about this.
BTW Chicagolady, GREAT interview, and I loved the costume.
