Attack on Coulter's "Treason" Already Beginning (Knee-Jerk LIEberal Alert)
Amazon.com ^ | 6/26/2003 | Pyro7480

Posted on 06/26/2003 6:36:51 AM PDT by Pyro7480

Some of us already predicted that this was going to happen. Ann Coulter's Treason is already under attack by the Left on Amazon's customer review page. Here are some of them:

Pseudo intellectual Appealing to knee jerks, June 24, 2003
Reviewer: A reader from Camp Hill, PA USA

Ann Coulter is an example of the pseudo intellectuals on television, with their arrogant, know-it-all attitude. The American people are smart enough to reject fundamentalist politics. No doubt, Coulter would have been standing behind Joseph McCarthy cheering him on. Don't waste your money on a book that might as well have been written in Sanskrit. By the time she is dancing around and around, getting dizzy, and falling down, along with her house of false truisms, the public will have moved on to a better world.

Seething Hatred from America's Perky High Priestess of Hate, June 24, 2003
Reviewer: A reader from Truth or Consequences, NM USA

Ann Coulter continues to plumb the stygian depths of Republican hatred in her latest work of fiction "Treason".

Basically, her schtick remains unchanged from "Slander", her last diatribe. Liberal=BAD, Conservative=GOOD.

The book is written in a breezy easy-to-read style, this is a plus since her typical reader has an IQ of room temperature.

Attempting to position herself above the yowling pack of conservative hatemongers nowadays, Coulter offers a lengthy revisionist tribute her spiritual stepfather, the late Wisconsin Senator Joe McCarthy.

Recommended reading for those polluted souls consumed by hatred

One of the Lying Liars, June 24, 2003
Reviewer: A reader from Bronxville, NY USA

Ann Coulter has one of the cover shots on Al Franken's book (due in October) Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right. I hope he gets to add some of the ludicrous material in this book. It was Reagan who worked with Saddam Hussein. Both he and Carter supported Osama in Afghanistan. Now, Coulter is accusing "liberals" of treason. That the blonde arch-conservative commentator, who loves to wear somewhat split mini-skirts, has published another screed should come, as no surprise. The right wing love to hate, and she throws them red meat, even if it is really baloney.

Unfortunately I decided to try this one out, June 24, 2003
Reviewer: A reader from Texas

I found this book on several listmanias, and was convinced that it was going to be a real eye opening read. Of course, once I checked out the books page I found out that it hasn't even been released yet - so I anxiously waited to find out what the liberals are doing. Coulter has lost her mind with this piece of work, where it seems that she is using the lever of the fear of terrorism to point fingers every which way except to her extreme religious values. Well, it's like they say, "if you have an average IQ then about 50% of the people are dumber than you." This book was written for the said 50%

If the FReepers didn't resort to name-calling, then there's an obvious difference.

The hildebeast's book sales have just about petered out at about 600,000. There is no way that the publisher could ever recoup the $8,000,000 advance it gave to the hildebeast. I'm glad the liberal Koolaid drinkers over there are loosing their butts.

With the review of the actual facts on McCarthy to egg them on, I hereby reserve a dollar for every leftist that says: "Read it? I don't have to read it...she defends McCarthy."

Mush like Paul Johnson not bowing to the leftist pseudo-history of the Spanish civil war in Modern Times.

I think the author would find that reader's of Ms Coulter's book have an average IQ closer to 120-130.

Stupid people vote liberal. Smart people vote conservative. Why would liberals buy a conservative book en masse?

Barnes and Noble website "Online sales" (updated hourly) shows "Treason" listed as number 4, and "Lying History" as #5.

Just do a google search with the name of ANY well known conservative figure. The number of "hate" hits that come back will astound you. Hate Laws would be the worst thing to ever happen to the liberals as practically every one of them is positively dripping with hate of anything even remotely conservative.

Well, no, because "hate" will be defined as "expressing conservative opinions."

Folks, forget the "liberal" reviews about Ann Coulter's Book, "Treason". They are dripping with envy that our little Annie, with no help from the USA media and Clinton spin machine, is kicking Hillary's butt! Get your "butts" in gear and go out or go on-line and buy Ann's book today! That is the best way to ignore the Clintonite vermin and destroy them forever from harming our country and our families! Spring for the twenty bucks! It'll be a great investment in the future of America!

A good description of these "reviews".

I haven't read the book yet, but lately Coulter does come across on tv as an arrogant know-it-all. She apparently thinks that since many liberals are arrogant know-it-alls, that gives her the right to respond in kind, and even to "up the ante" several notches. She may have the right to behave this way, but she is not winning any converts with this behavior, and someone needs to tell her so. My sister is a liberal, but a fairly open-minded one, and she has described Coulter as "an arrogant b*tch." Unfortunately, I couldn't really disagree with her. If Coulter were on the other side, that's what we'd all be calling her.

Pyro: thanks for the post. Do you think that the review were written by the same person?

Same writing still to me...

"loves to wear somewhat split mini-skirts"

Most women I know will wear (somewhat)split mini-skirts one a week.

Didn't mention the reviews in my post. Have the book, reading chapter 5. Bought the book at a local B&N on the release date. I didn't find it on the "New Release" table; found it in the current events section. I complained to the sales counter folks that I found it odd that it was released that day, and it was not on display on the table, "Lying History" was.

On the way out I did notice the “TREASON” cardboard stand with books in it, it was right next to the exit, wasn't that a great spot to put it.

Arrogance: (n) When you can demonstrate that you are right.

Ann isn't arrogant. She simply hammers Libs like they try to hammer her.

It is typically liberal to reject the message simply because of the presentation. That your sister does this, I'm sorry to say, does not surprise me, as this is typical liberal behavior -- fascination with superficialities without regard or care for fundamental truths.

Slander was an awesome read, I went out and got Treason the day it was out. I'm only on page 31, and its amazing! I'm reading it slowly so as to absorb all that knowledge better:)

Part of me is glad the conservative side has an "arrogant b*tch" FINALLY to take on the liberal b*tches we've put up with for so long. It seems some can dish it out, but they can't take it.

Treason will ignite a nationwide firestorm.

I've been a fan of Ann's for several years now, in part because of her take-no-prisoners style, but more because she makes a point of always having citations ready to substantiate her claims.

I checked a considerable fraction of the references in Slander. Every one was accurate. None were taken out of context in a way that could be used to mislead the reader. I intend to check even more of the references in Treason, as the charge is even more serious... but I expect I'll find those to be accurate too.

The opening sections on the McCarthy hearings and the way the Left has recast them are worth their weight in gold. Everyone should read this book. You'll be able to gauge the honesty and intelligence of anyone you know by his reaction to it.

Go forth and spread the word!
