Nothing in here about how she is black and he was white--and how she laughed to a friend about "hitting some white guy" and leaving him to die. Can you imagine the coverage this would get if the races were reversed? It would be Jasper, TX II.

This trial has been long-awaited. I do not see how she can escape conviction.

This trial has been long-awaited. I do not see how she can escape conviction. You must not have heard about the trial a few years back of a black man by the name of Orinthal James Simpson who was accused of murdering a white woman who happened to be his wife.

The foremost villain of this story is the invention and popularization of the automobile.
If people walked or rode bicycles our streets would be safer.
Though no means of transport are immune from accidents, serious injury to pedestrians would be rare except for the motor car.
Even on horseback--should the rider be drunk, the horse at least would be sober.

Maybe the former Phoenix bishop can minister to her though letters.

A question (not that it matters to our legal system): Was the pedestrian sober at the time of the accident?

Can't you people see there are two victims in this tragedy?
There is nothing that can be done for Mr. Biggs, but there is no need to destroy another life. Chante has suffered enough. She has been in jail for over a year and will have to live the rest of her life with the memory of Gregory Glenn Biggs' horrible death. </sarcasm>
I spoke with a woman who shared a cell for a short time with Ms. Mallard and she said Chante is a sociopath who feels she has not done anything wrong.

Keep us updated. This case should get as much national attention as the Scott-Laci Peterson case...but I doubt it will.

Even on horseback--should the rider be drunk, the horse at least would be sober. Actually, there were lots of fatal horse accidents. Pretty fast speed, unprotected passenger.

I spoke with a woman who shared a cell for a short time with Ms. Mallard and she said Chante is a sociopath who feels she has not done anything wrong. This scares me to death. Why? Because her profession is that of a CNA....(I react like this when watching TV that has animal abuse on it and the abuser is someone who is in a 'care' profession)
Knee jerk reaction out of me, but I wonder how many people in her care she has mistreated before this?
And if (heaven forbid, but it could happen) she gets off, do you want someone like her takin' care of your mama?

Thanks for reminding me. I meant to post pics in the article or right after.
Chante Mallard (left) is accused of striking
Gregory Biggs with her car and leaving him
to die in the windshield.

I hope she doesn't get away with this. I wish I had been called for jury duty.
I don't see how someone with such a callous disregard for human life and suffering can be in the health care field. Maybe it's like the sadist who gets a job in the emergency room so they can witness the suffering.
