But, she had already admitted to it... or at least mentioned the killing to her friends, casually at a party. I don't know how she could easily be let off. She and her boyfriend knew the victim was suffering, and they refused to assist him. And, I doubt the jury would easily let her off, knowing that the judicial system in Texas convicted the woman who wantonly killed her husband by running him over with a car. This is a similar circumstance, without the benefit of passionate emotions pushing someone over the edge.
