Interesting articles. I particularly like the parallels between the RATs and the EUroweenies on the one hand, and the Palesterrorists. All of them delusional, paranoid, and basically powerless.

From these quotes:

"This republic is at its greatest danger in its history because of this administration," says Democratic senator Robert Byrd.

"I think this is deliberate, intentional destruction of the United States of America," says liberal commentator Bill Moyers.

George Bush's economic policy is the "most radical and dangerous economic theory to hit our shores since socialism," says Senator John Edwards.

I can only conclude that Pres. Bush is doing something right!

I am sure that line is going to fly well with your base John. Guess this implies that you know you have no chance at the Democrat nomination and are concerned about your own re-election, doesn't it?

Good article. Can't help remembering that a lot of us felt pretty much the same way between 1992 and 1994, when Clinton held the Whitehouse and the Dems held both houses of Congress.

"It's probably a weakness that we're not real haters. We don't have a sense that it's a holy crusade," Democratic strategist Bob Shrum told Adam Clymer of the New York Times.

This has to be one of the funniest quotes I have ever read. Bob Shrum is one of the architects of attck campaigning, and he spent the morning of September 11, 2001 explaining the evils of George Bush to a press organization's annual breakfast. (Source: Bill Sammon's Fighting Back)

It's mystifying. Fury rarely wins elections. Rage rarely appeals to suburban moderates. And there is a mountain of evidence that the Democrats are now racing away from swing voters, who do not hate George Bush, and who, despite their qualms ....

That is exactly what happened to Republicans in 1996 when we let our rhetoric about Clinton get out of hand and alienated the center.

I'm not saying we were wrong about Bubba, but that our rhetoric was too "hot" to convince the undecideds.

This time it will be the DemonRats who destroy themselves.

Lots of 'commentable' lines in this article.
And if you probe into the Democratic mind at the current moment, you sense that the rage, the passion, the fighting spirit are all fueled not only by opposition to Bush policies, but also by powerlessness.
Actually, the rage is much more about powerlessness than it is about opposition to Bush policies.

"This republic is at its greatest danger in its history because of this administration," says Democratic senator Robert Byrd.

Okay, here you have an ex-KKK guy saying that we (does he include blacks in that?) are in the greatest danger in our history. Um....does anyone else see a Trent Lott style, historical memory-wiping statement here?

GOOD COMMENTS!

(But he only (inpassing) notes the extremist lies the democrats are throwing constantly...They have no position except their lies!)

Most telling line:

The Democrats are letting their inner selves out for a romp.

Like "The Portrait of Dorian Gray," they are allowing us to see their true, hated-filled selves.

Hatred is not very attractive.

How many soccer moms will be drawn to this?

I note that we said some of the same things about Clinton and it sounded just as unreasonable and far out to the other side. The Union survived that, more or less, I imagine that it will survive this current crop of hot air.

Their biggest problem is that they scream loudest because theri message is just not getting out.

I mean after all, the press is so conservitive that they have to drag out AlGore to start a new network just to get the Liberal message out! If they would just just yell a little louder, then all of America would hear them. If America could just hear them above all the evil talk radio. They need to get Pelosi and Byrd and the crew to become more and more shrill. Those are the only voices any body wants to hear. When we hear how desparate they are we may feel pity and vote their way. If they could only get their message out, America would understand that they have been victims and should be compensated for all their pain. After all, it is hard to be a Democrat these days.

not the pale pale grayish-white cranky grim greedy people, the secular pluralist people and not the theocrats, the misogynists, Muslim and Christian and Jewish fundamentalists

If this isn't hatred, I don't know how to recognize it.

W is the shaker of salt sprinkling down on these slugs in the Democrat party.

Sprinkle, sprinkle, sprinkle pretty white salt.
See the slugs start foaming to a frothy malt.
W is doing just great.
And that gins the hate.
See, they are out of power and it’s his fault.

I'm hoping the democrats are out of power for good.

They've proven what lying schmucks they are.

Democrats are practicing the politics of envy -- a vice according to Aristotle's Ethics. Where righteous indignation is considered a virtue, indignant reactions expressed in envy or maliciousness are vices.

Ethics isn't taught in public schools because people think that morality is a religious matter -- it isn't, but those religious won't agree with me.

All of society would benefit if Aristotle's non-denominational ethics was taught in public schools.

All the sincere and decent democrats are now questioning that party and their affiliation, and quite often they are renouncing these ties to remain saine in the Republican Party. It is apparent that the Clinton years, culminating with the Gore Flordia debacle was the high tide of the left; their shrill angry voices trying to steal an election has turned many Americans against them. Then the opposition to National Security and old democratic demands that no one be held responsible....

"The Most Dangerous President Ever" is the title of an essay in the American Prospect by Harold Meyerson

I have always thought being dangerous to our enemies is a good thing.
