Translation from Hebrew to English by me:
The USA has given to the hands of the Security Office of the PA, headed by Mohammad Dahlan, 300 Million to rebuild the security apparatus of the PA. The Arabs have also reported that Denmark donated equipment, bullet proof vehicles, and even tear gas.
The sources have said that Dahlan recruited 1000 people from the special security units and 100 from the preventative security, and have put them under his direct command. His men will go through special training.

Just great. Why does the US think this "appartus" has been destroyed in the first place? CAUSE IT WAS A TARGET DURING SOME OF ISRAEL'S COUNTER-TERRORIST operations. THESE "security" people SUPPORT terrorists, help them, and hide them. IDF found evidence in buildings of the "preventative security" offices during its operations. It found documents, it found Kassam Rockets, granades, and other weapons used by the terrorists and papers showing these weapons being given to them. After all the fight Israel has put up to them, the US is giving them money to get stronger. Have they seen them fight terror? Or is this some "game" the Bush Administration is playing? They are not playing with basketballs, but with lives. This type of stupid behivior is where the PLO got all its equipment and weapons to committ terrorism during the Oslo years, however, that time it came mostly from Israel due to the Accords. Now America is making the same mistake. More Israelis and MORE AMERICANS will be killed as a result. We might as well place ourselves on the State Dept. list of state sponsors of terrorism, cause by this move, we are actually giving the financial backing to terrorists who have killed thousands of Jews and others.

If only the US government would attach audits to that money. If they can audit the heck out of US firms when they pay them for legitimate services. Why can't they audit the PA when they give them money?

"Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime."
Are we now a hostile regime to ourselves?

Okay. I say we put our government on notice. If this money is used to train and arm a group, and they attack Israel in any way, then the officals who approved of it should step down. EOS
If Israel is willing to go along with this, I'm fine with it. But if it falls through, I want the embiciles who were associated with it in any way, fired!

If not, we're about as damned close to it as we can get without having done so!

The Security Chief of the PA is a proven terrorist
From the ZOA
MOHAMMED DAHLAN Dahlan, 41, is chief of the Palestinian Security Forces in Gaza. He spent four years in Israeli prison for terrorist activities, and was a commander of operations for Arafat's Fatah terror group during the mass "intifada" violence that began in 1987. According to the Israeli government, Dahlan is one of the primary directors of the current terrorist violence against Israelis in the Gaza region.
Masterminded bombing of Israeli bus: Israel Radio reported on October 20, 2000, that "Dahlan was behind the October 18 bombing of an Israeli bus in Gush Katif." The Israeli daily Ha'aretz reported on November 16, 2000, that "members of the Preventive Security Force in Gaza, headed by Mohammed Dahlan, were involved in a series of attacks on Israelis in Gush Katif and Netzarim." Ha'aretz reported on April 17, 2001, that Yasir Arafat "takes an active part in decisions regarding the firing of mortars. The general directives in this regard are passed to Mohammed Dahlan, and from Dahlan to his deputy, Rashid Abu Shabak."
Ordered rocket attack on an Israeli bus: Dahlan is currently a defendant in a lawsuit filed by victims Arab terrorism, including an American citizen as well as three children whose legs were blown off in a Dahlan-directed rocket attack on a bus on November 20, 2000. The Israeli daily Hatzofeh has reported (April 13, 2001) that the Central Intelligence Agency has tape recordings of telephone conversations in which Dahlan can be heard ordering the November 20 rocket attack and other terrorist attacks against Israelis.
Shelters Hamas terrorists: Dahlan told the PA-sponsored newspaper Al Ayam on Oct.26, 1998 that terrorist groups such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad "will not be outlawed."
Hired Hamas terrorists: Dahlan said in an interview with the PA newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadidah on Sept.24, 1998, that 25 more Hamas terrorists have been hired by his force, specifically in order to protect them from being arrested by the Israelis.
Praised Hamas terrorists: In an interview with the Hamas newspaper Al-Risallah (cited in Ha'aretz, June 15, 1997), Dahlan said: "The presence of Hamas on Palestinian territory is very important for building the Palestinian homeland."
Threatened violence against Israel: On August 30, 1996, Dahlan said: "The Palestinian Authority does not exclude the return to the armed struggle, and it will then use its weapons." (Jerusalem Report, Nov. 28, 1996)
--------------
Arutz-7 News, April 15, 2001
CIA recorded Dahlan ordering fatal bus attack
The CIA has a secret recording of Muhammad Dahlan giving the orders to bomb an Israeli school bus. The recorded telephone conversation features the Palestinian Security Chief in Gaza ordering the bombing of the Kfar Darom school bus on November 20 of last year. Two adults were killed in that attack, and several children were wounded - including the three Cohen siblings, each of whom lost part of a leg.
The American intelligence organization has other recordings of Dahlan's deputy Rashid Abu Shabak giving the orders for other terrorist attacks. Arutz-7 correspondent Haggai Huberman, who broke the story in the HaTzofeh newspaper on Friday, reports that the Americans chose not to keep the information to themselves but rather to share it with Israel.
Based on the CIA tapes and other information, the IDF has submitted a report to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, in which the terrorist attacks ordered by Dahlan and Abu Shabak are detailed. Abu Shabak, responding to the news of the tapes, said that he is not afraid of Israel's "long arm." Several leading terrorist have been killed in pinpoint attacks by Israeli forces, most recently leading Islamic Jihad terrorist Iyad Hardan; he was killed ten days ago by an explosion at a public phone in Jenin.
Dahlan was quoted this morning as saying that Israel had "killed the security cooperation" between the sides.

Is this the same or a different funding?
About 2 years ago, shortly after 9-11, there was discussion of 100-300 million from the US to PA.
Is this an annual donation to the Arafat Retirement Fund?

Let's face it, Bush's war on terrorism has turned into Bush's war on the Jews. After Bush's hypocritical trip to Auschwitz, I am begining to despise him. Who would have thought that Bush would be more immoral than Clinton?

If this is a joke, it's a bad one. If this is true, Bush should be called on it and the people responsible should not only loose their jobs they should be tried under the Patriot Act as supporters of terrorism. If Bush is complicit in this, put him on trial too.

Abu Mazen: Put Terrorists On Payroll Hamas: We Will Continue Operations
Aaron Lerner Date: 18 June 2003
Israel Television Channel One Arab Affair Correspondent Oded Granot reported on the Mabat News broadcast this evening that PA PM Abu Mazen has offered to put all the Hamas terrorists on the PA payroll so that they will not have to give up their weapons.
Granot also reported that Hamas has offered to stop suicide bombings within the Green Line. They propose that other operations can continue within the Green Line and that there be no restrictions on operations against soldiers
and settlers.

Is this the same or a different funding? Nah. This time Denmark is pitching in with some tear gas and bullet proof cars so the terrorists can travel in better protection.

Maariv now has an article on it. Translation by me:
An Israeli security official says that the USA has given the Palestinian Security Office, headed by Mohammad Dahlan 300 Million dollars to rebuild the appartus of Palestinian security and to prepare them for the upcoming Israeli leave from areas in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The source approved that the money will not be given to the bank account of the Palestinian Authority BUT DIRECTLY to the bank account of the Palestinian Security Office with the help of the PA Treasury Office headed by Dr. Salam Piad, "The US has given Dahlan a extension of 3 months to make the security reforms," said the source. The Security Source says that Denmark donated to the Palestinians equipment and bullet proof vehicles, and even tear gas. The sources said that Dahlan recruited 1000 people from the special security force and 100 from the Preventative Security Force and placed them under his direct command. The sources also say that the security people Dahlan chose will go through special training, could even be by Egyptian officials that will come in the future to Gaza and even in the United States. They will be trained in special operations, such as getting rid of protests, and how to take over the areas Israel leaves.
OK. I already said what I needed to say, but even the terrorist PLO can be seen lying. Why do they need to make this security force (terrorist force) again if they don't intend on going after the terrorists? They said it to us. Why is the US still going forward with it?
