Thought for the day :
"Food is an important part of a balanced diet."

I think I like this one. Thanks, Valin, for the history of the day.

Feel free to use it. I thought it should be shared with all our troops and anybody else that could appreciate the "Dear John" reference. LOL

"Our military are being shot at and attacked every day and yet still have humanitarian hearts."

My hope is that one person at a time (and the children) see FIRST HAND the generosity and warm hearts of our US Military men and women. The shrill voices may be the only ones heard (and of course our alphabet news agencies will only report the negative), but the every day Iraqi cannot fail to notice the good deeds of our military. God bless and keep them safe.

Howdy, y'all!
With two miles of telephone line running through the cow pasture it takes me longer to load this thread than it does for Grandma to slop the hogs.
Thanks for the welcome!
I'll get back when I can!
