The guy wearing the devil costume out on Pennsylvania Avenue yesterday was adamant.

"Enter the bookstore and take two steps down — morally and socially," he hollered into a bullhorn.

The mannerly crowd outside Trover Shop Books on Capitol Hill gazed back at him, clutching precious orange vouchers that proved they had already paid for "Living History," Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's new memoir.

You said it yourself:

***"Before you write, know who your intended audiance [sic] is". ***

The leftist press KNOWS who its intended audience is. Did you think they were going to praise conservatives? At least the devil's suit got a mention, thereby letting readers know that it wasn't all adulation for the witch.

I read a report that Hillary left early to rush back to the Senate and do the job her constituents elected her to do instead of signing books written by ghosts. She also left more than 40 people still standing in line without getting their books signed.

If I lived in Chicago, I'd be tempted to freep Mayor Daley wearing a Zoot suit and carrying a violin case. I bet that would set him off at his press conferences :-)

Now see, that, I would do, just so I could see him throw another tantrum on TV!!!!ROTFL...he really is a funny little man (and I don't mean that in a complimentary way!)

Yes, Daley definitely has his connections...as proven by being able to get construction workers out at 2am to tear up Meigs Field under the cover of darkness.....what a chicken sh**!

No, I don't expect the liberal media to praise the conservatives...but just who do you think their intended readers/viewers are???? They are the "undecided" or "swing voters".....and they (the liberal media) are going to take EVERY opportunity to make the conservatives look like a bunch of right-wing extremist over emotional whackos...I choose not to play into their hand.

Takoma...you are absolutely right....we need one or two costumed individuals at every FReeping event. My fear is/was we show up looking like a costume party rather than intelligent political activists. That's all.

I smell a competition....you wanna place a little bet who has better/more favorable press coverage, our FReep or yours??? :o) Just a FRiendly little *wager* between FReepers???? hmmmm???? I say we make better than 4th page...I bet we make at least 2nd page Tribune & Sun Times with good/favorable mentions. :O) BTW, Takoma, please don't think I'm being smug...I'm just very competitive and perform better with a good challenge on the line! :^D I LOVE a good challenge.....we can call in "The Sultan" as "wager judge"....he's from the Richmond,VA FReepers and I trust him. He's the best and very honest. No payout...just bragging rights.

And yes, DC FReepers do rule, I couldn't do what you do in DC, it's why I live here in Chicago and why I moved out of Liberal Land (California).

Clinton supporter Barbara Liss said she understood how Clinton could have been deceived.

''My ex-husband did the same thing to me, and I went into total denial,'' she said. ''Thirteen women later, in my marriage, and I still didn't want to believe it.''

OMG....are these women totally blind, desperate, stupid or pathetic????? I'm sorry, does she have to walk in on him sleeping with someone to believe it???? Or would this woman have even believed it then? *shakes head in dismay*

No wonder Hitlery has such a following among "battered wives"....they LIKE being lied to.

It's not a competition between FReepers. One chapter or group isn't trying to best the others. If you look at the links I posted, it was three FReepers from the Tri-State chapter who got the most media coverage, and I (a DC Chapter member) am proudly bragging about their successes.

We all share our ideas with one another. We pass tips to one another about FReep opportunities. We each want the other to succeed. We are, as the Weekly Standard writer says, " an Internet brotherhood." If you guys get page 3 or 2 or 1 coverage, that would be fantastic; and I will be thrilled for you guys. So, thanks for the offer, but I'm not going to take you up on the bet.

Good luck on the FReep in any event.

For people that aren't competitive, some have been awful defensive about one single comment I made ;o)

's ok, though. I don't mind. Pride is a normal human emotion and people tend to react defensively when they feel their's is being attacked. ;o)

I think CL's witch costume will draw the right amount of attention, and then our numbers should add to it. :o) I'm more hoping for a bigger crowd than there are people waiting in line to sign her book....that's another way to get noticed by the media ;o)

Did you FReep our local poll here????? hehehe, that poll rocks! I love our local talk radio station.
