Hillary Clinton enemy of the State arrived at the Fairfax County Fairlakes Wal-Mart store. She rode in her big black smoked glass limo hoping to sell her lies one more time. The line was out the garden department and into the side parking lot.
I arrive at the shopping center to see a long line of about 50 people standing in line to drink the Kool-Aid and get the book of lies signed by the Witch. Two Freepers were waiting at Bagel Buddies and we set off to the front of the Wal-Mart where local Channel 9 and local Fox 5 were filming in the front. I have to see if I made the news tonight. We had picked out a grassy noel across from the Kool-Aid drinks but we mover to the front of the store. The management fell into our plan just nicely. They moved us away from the front of the story to the grassy noel overlooking the parade of Kool-Aid drinkers. By this time more Freepers arrived to strengthen the Freeper Force. As their line grew to a few hundred, Angelwood, Alwaysfree, BillF, Letsrok, sauropod, bvw, Jimmy Valentine's brother, tgslTakoma, Taxman, Xthe17th, GOP Capitalist, and the one the only kristinn came late. We also had help from some great lurkers.
The boys played them some music and I will let them fill you in on that.

And you don't know the half of it. Check out this excerpt:
http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-clin10.html
Clinton, who stayed popular in Illinois through all the White House scandals, reaches Chicago at the end of June. She has remained in constant contact with her friends from Park Ridge and they will throw her a party on June 27, which will be followed by a fund-raiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
On June 28, there will be a breakfast to benefit her political action committee, called HILLPAC, followed by a book-signing at Women & Children First bookstore at 5233 N. Clark.
OK, Squantos. Here's the deal on "Women and Children First" from their own website:
About Women & Children First
Women & Children First began in a modest storefront in 1979. Over the years we've moved twice and recently expanded in our current location into an adjoining storefront. We're in a northside Chicago neighborhood known for its diversity, lesbian-friendliness, women-owned businesses and community spirit. Our staffers include teachers, graduate students, professional writers and storytellers, political activists, board members, and poets. Each of us is a reader, a feminist, and a bookseller. Our purpose in beginning the store 20 years ago was to promote the work of women writers and to create a place in which all women would find books reflecting their lives and interests. We strive to do this in an atmosphere in which all are respected, valued, and well-served. That is our purpose still, online as well as in the store.

Thanks for setting the scene. You did great work setting up this freep.
I got there late, but still had time for fun before the storm clouds rolled in.
For my part, I tried to talk to the crowd across the street, explaining what it is about Hillary Clinton we don't like. I didn't have time to get through it all, but they sure weren't happy to be reminded of her eight years as co-President.
Mrs. Clinton was personally signing the books again tonight. It's good to see her working for once.
Maybe we should send her some Ben Gay or something for tomorrow's booksigning at Trover's :-)

It is hard to estimate a count on how many were there, and the book sales definately won't tell because several of the Hillary-philes were walking out with 4 and 5 copies a piece. Probably DNC workers sent there by Terry McAwful.

And whaddya bet Hillary bought the Ol' Crusty Black Pants Suit from a Wal-Mart?! :-)

Good job. :) Too bad Hillary! won't ever grace us with her presence in Utah, I'd love to FReep her.

Find a book regarding Vince's death and ask her to sign it. THAT will be worth some money, someday.

Too bad Hillary! won't ever grace us with her presence in Utah, I'd love to FReep her. Don't be too sure about that. We'll keep an eye on the list of her appearances and ping you if she comes anywhere near Utah! ;-)
To: NotJustAnotherPrettyFace
LOL, thanks! Bill and Hillary only graced us with their presence two times, both times for skiing holidays.

I guess I didn't pick up on the fact that this all took place this evening - OK, it's after midnight so I should say the evening of June 11th? That was some thunderstorm, wasn't it?
We did the usual routine that we've been doing all spring - I am usually the first to hear the thunder rolling down the Blue Ridge, even before the dog! Then the dog comes into my room and tries to hide from the thunder - brave dog! I start yelling to the rest of the household "turn off your computers, turn off your computers!"
This evening we had the computers turned off for a very long time.
Amazing to think of Hillary herself signing books at the very Walmart where I buy my pantyhose and hair dye.
The nearest similar event I can think of was when Patricia Cornwell did a book signing at the Fair Oaks Costco. I saw her as she was leaving, and said to myself "hey, that's Patricia Cornwell!" She's quite tiny, and gave me the eye as she passed me by.
My family and friends back home think it must be very glamorous living in the DC metro region but if book signings by Patricia Cornwall and Hillary Clinton are my only brushes with fame I'd say no. Well, Ollie North is more like what I think of as famous but he IS local, sorta (Shenandoah), not like Patricia Cornwell (Richmond) and Hillary Clinton (DC). I was very thrilled to meet Ollie in person and have him sign a book for me.

Thanks for your pre-freep scouting and investigating; thanks also for starting the thread regarding today's fun activities.
That loud woman who kept shouting at us was funny -- half the time we couldn't hear her and the other half, we couldn't understand what she was saying. When she got halfway into the street to confront us, she was waving her book over her head and at us. I caught the gist of her words -- "You too poor to buy a book! You want this one." The policeman moved to intercept her since she wasn't looking and cars kept driving by. She kept waving the book and shouting, so some of us began to chant: TOSS IT, TOSS IT, TOSS IT! She didn't, of course.
That woman kept losing her cool because she couldn't stand the fact that we had a perfect right to be exactly where we were doing what we were doing and she couldn't make us stop. Her daughter chimed in when she ran out of steam and rested.
A black guy came out of Wal-Mart and crossed to our side of the street on his way to his car. He stopped and graciously showed us his trophy and posed with it for a photo. We also got a close-up of the signature. I told him he was duped -- that signature didn't look anything like the one on the cover! We all laughed. "HILLARY" was pretty clear, but Ms. Clinton wrote a ragged "R" and what looked like "Cl" for Clinton.
On Channel 9 or 4 there was a close-up of Hillary inside Wal-Mart. She hurriedly dashed a scrawl across the page and then looked up with eyes wide open at the person in front of her. Everyone with a signed book is lucky to have her scrawl -- and some of the books were already destined for E-Bay (their owners told us so as they posed with the books while holding our signs).
I'll write more tomorrow -- it's late and the DC Chapter has another date with Hillary at the Trover Books and Cards store at 221 Pennsylvania Avenue tomorrow at Noon.

The old Crown Books location where I witnessed Norman Schwarzkopf and Margaret Thatcher personally sign their books.
Looks like another fun night ahead!

"Between her and all the homos, vegan goths, and other left wing banshees who crawled out of the gutter to pay homage to their queen, it was quite a freak show that they put on."I think you're onto something:
Picture Hillary with a group of supporters, and the caption
"Hillary, Queen of Freaks!"

According to the Washington Post article about tonight (which does not mention any protesters), the probable reason for this location is that this Wal-Mart is reknowned for moving tons of books.
To: Angelwood
some of the books were already destined for E-Bay (their owners told us so as they posed with the books while holding our signs). Ha! That means they're probably not even going to crack open the cover to read the fiction inside. It'll be interesting to monitor E-Bay and see how the auction(s) on this item go (evil grin).
To: NotJustAnotherPrettyFace
Thanks. It's beats yelling at the TV night after night :-)
