I have to leave Bakersfield shortly and go back to Fresno and gather signatures to recall Gray Davis. Please pray that I'll have a safe drive over there, and a safe and profitable time getting signatures.

I feel your pain. I only manage to have meals like those when I'm on vacation. So I work my cute b***t off so I can at least go on vacation twice a year. LOL! So, for now, I guess, we can keep on dreaming.

Speaking of sunsets, on my last trip, we drove to Coronado Island to visit the Coronado hotel, famous for it's ghost who still roams the hotel - that's according to the story. It was a little cloudy but it was such a nice opportunity for us to walk the beach and have some drinks at the hotel watching the sun go down.
Oh, and let me add a side story. Before we were about to cross that long bridge from San Diego to the island, I mentioned to my niece and her friends that we used to hold our breath, make a wish and let it go until we reach the end of the bridge. Would you know that my niece who was driving was also holding her breath?! I was so upset with her - what if she blacked out? Of course, it would have been my fault for sharing that stupid story! LOL! My niece, ever the sweet, calm woman that she is just laughed it off and said, "I love you, Tita (auntie)!" All was forgiven. LOL!
