No rush on the poem, bentfeather.
That was a nice story and it felt like I was there. I remember when we used to visit the farm (my father sold it a long time ago), there was a train that would load and carry the sugar canes to the mill. We would watch all the kids sitting on top of some cars chewing on those sugar canes. I also enjoyed watching the workers (called sacadas) harvest the crops while we would be running around playing with their children. We would go to the river for a quick swim until it was time for my siblings and I to go back to the city. That was one nice memory from long ago.
