Vanity Conservative Dating
vanity for a family | June 3,2003 | Oceanperch

Posted on 06/03/2003 9:10:10 PM PDT by oceanperch

You Guys are going to flame me for this but here goes: I have a couple who are dear freinds. They are retired conservative parents of a disabled adult/child. They have a wonderful son who is part of the Portland Coast Guard. He is an active Libertarian who has a home here on the coast down the street from the Parents so as to care for his disabled sister on the week ends. Great young man at 38 never been married looking for a very conservative woman (keeps dating not by choice Liberal woman). Looking for marraige and does not want to give up gun collection or rusty truck. LOL Children in the future optional. Go ahead flame away but I think we can help this guy. Prayer while waiting

His mom is my friend and caring for her adult disabled daughter her husband has health issues and her son is dedicated to assisting in the care of his sister.

I have met him and so far as a "hottie" I would say very nice looking but conservative and very level headed.

I believe you. Tell him to sign up with (shameless plug here) with eharmony. He'll get a lot of responses.

Hooking up dates is a free thing you can do from the rec room.

Gold, what is eharmony?

Ocean, if you end up with more responses than this guy needs, please send a few to me. I'm 39 with three engineering degrees. I've had some setbacks, but I've worked through them. I'd be willing to do the kid thing someday, but I need a few years with just a wife. More about my political thoughts are on my webpage. I also have a non-political photo gallery that tells a little about my non-political side. I'd want someone with at least some interest and ability to do outdoor stuff. My last date was with a woman I met through Yahoo Personals. She listed herself as a conservative, but during the date she admitted to voting for Mondale, Clinton twice, and Gore. Needless to say, there won't be a second date.

If this qualifies as a "flame", so be it. "i before e, except after c".

Geezel, don't "date" anyone..

Start out with "activity" partners. It's so much less heavy and committed than all that "dating" stuff.

If you want to be comitted to someone, marry them.

Otherwise, keep your options open.

PS: Watch out for the label: "Conservative" Allot of self described (ahem) "Conservative" women, are anything but.

Church functions are a good option here.

No Flamin from me, when I was 38 I paid two or three grand, can't remember exactly, to a video dating service, that is where I met the sister of the woman I had to go to Thailand to marry, still together after 13(my lucky number) years, after three disasters in 20 years I figured it was time to let someone else help. And The Lord blessed us with a BIG, strong, healthy son after 10 barren years. I say we were blessed for more reasons than one, Momma was 44 and daddy 50(he's 2 now and 39 in. tall) at time of birth. Sometimes someone just needs help, and if it is from an unusual place like this, it is more than coincidence.

In who's world? The only single women in my church are still in high school

(not counting the 70+ yr old widows)

I have talked to allot of single, church going women.

And I would take the least of them over anything I ever met in a bar, or other "traditional" pickup spot.

That would be true at the local AME Baptist church, but not ours, our oldest is 16
