No. I am strongly opposed to the roadmap plan. I am strongly opposed to the creation of another "Palestine" and a PLO state. I am strongly opposed to dealing with terrorists, as this roadmap does.

Fundamentally, you're absolutely right. But the Bush Roadmap surely takes into account the fact that these bloodythirsty thugs are incapable of peace.

Really, it's a Last Chance Before We Unleash Hell on Your Sorry Behinds Plan... but for the sake of the history books, they can't really call it that.

Gertz was the writer who said submarines in Pearl Harbor were going to be attacked.

More than welcome, anything I can do to help. This is an intensely serious issue and I suggest the disbelievers read the link I posted to the thread to show just how bad it truly is.

This has to stop.

Yes, we are unwittingly our own worst enemies. And in cases like this, it looks like greed has something to do with it. Although I'm sure it's not easy running a small business with taxes, regulations, and litigation hazards. But I don't think your eatery's situation is unique by any means. It's going on all over.

The thought of those poor people working for next to nothing is painful. Of course many end up a burden on our entitlements infrastructure. Why let the cycle continue? Why allow the gerrymandering of the vote in favor of people who "owe it all" to welfare?

This is not the America of Ellis Island.

"Why is it crying wolf?"

"Everytime it has gone up, the public has been more vigilant, correct? And, no harm came. Why does this prove that we have let our guard down? I cannot imagine that 9/11 is a distant memory... code orange is still a big deal, I believe. Who thinks it is a laughing matter?"

The "public" doesn't know what to think anymore. Even the State of AZ has said that they may not respond to another alert level change. These codes mean nothing anymore.

Try to imagine the USA in WWII that had air-raid alerts every other day but no bombings ever occured. When someone tells you that there is danger, but also says "But please go out and have your nails done as usual.", then eventually these warnings will not be taken seriously.

This is exactly what is now happening. Therefore, it is probably time to stay home.

That was one of the (many) reasons. If none are found left in Iraq, I don't know how you can call that a success.

Maybe YOU haven't noticed, but America is caught in a lie:

U.S. under pressure over intelligence about Iraq

TIM HARPER
WASHINGTON BUREAU

WASHINGTON—Pressure mounted in the U.S. capital yesterday for an independent probe of the quality of the intelligence provided to the Bush administration before the invasion of Iraq.

With no weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq, tougher questions are being raised daily as to whether the reports used by U.S. President George W. Bush were wrong, politically slanted or provided under such intense pressure that findings were tailored to meet the goals of the intelligence community's political masters.

There are strong concerns in Washington that U.S. international credibility is taking another nosedive.

Bush stunned many when he claimed on the eve of the G-8 Summit that his government had found weapons of mass destruction. He was referring to two suspected mobile labs, which U.S. intelligence agencies say may have been biological weapons labs.

The statement either indicates that the burden of proof required by his government to justify its main war rationale has been significantly lowered or Bush was getting frustrated over the persistent questions.

"They're illegal. They're against the United Nations resolutions and we've so far discovered two," Bush said. U.S. Deputy Defence Secretary Paul Wolfowitz also re-ignited controversy when he said in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine that the weapons of mass destruction argument for the war was emphasized for "bureaucratic reasons." On ABC's This Week, which aired yesterday, Connecticut Democrat Senator Christopher Dodd and Arizona Republican Senator John McCain both called for independent reviews into the intelligence provided. "Enough questions have been raised. We ought to look at it," Dodd said.

McCain said he thought Congress should study the intelligence question to provide an "objective analysis."

It just proves that Saddam was supplying terrorists

The Saudis supplied the terrorists with money and support (and still do by most accounts), yet has the army reduced their nation to rubble yet? Oh, I keep forgetting. They're our 'ally'.

"Being 1) 'ready and willing' to use them as opposed to 2) having them (nukes, etc.) "

---

Read between the lines. If they said they know AQ HAS nuclear bombs, and not just dirty bombs, but real nuclear bombs, and they are IN the US, that would create mass panic.

This kind of news is their (government's) way of spoonfeeding the bad news to us slowly, letting us know, without panicking us, at least not immediately. Of course they are hoping they will catch them first.

I think this is serious. Bush looked happy and relaxed right after the Iraqi war, but has been looking very preoccupied lately, and I don't think "le worm" Chirac could put hi in a bad mood, but some serious threat, like real nukes, would.

Do you remember the AQ warning to Muslims to get out of large cities? Maybe there was a good reason.

I guess we all should make the acquaintances of Muslims, and if several are taking vacations unexpectedly at the same time it's time to pack and get out of town.

I think that is flawed reasoning. It just proves that Saddam was supplying terrorists and would have given them more and better stuff if we left him in power.

Bump!

Who tells you this? The liberal media? Crying wolf, crying wolf... straight from the Democratic talking points? If you don't listen, stick your head in the sand, I have no sympathy for you. But, since this is the ONLY system that we have, imperfect though it is, I do pay attention.

You know what? I have always listened to the tornado watches in my area, too... all have been false alarms, because my house was never hit. Hmmm... I guess you are right. Warning systems are useless!

AZ said they aren't going to respond, because they essentially cannot or do not change anything on the ground, that affects the public.... OR they are just saying this, trying to say, "We can't AFFORD to respond!". What does it change? Nothing. Let AZ do whatever they want. I don't care, I don't live there.

There is a danger, every day, that something terrible is going to happen. Okay, fine. I will go about my life as ususal. However, I will never ignore it when I am given something specific to do, for my own safety.
