"Being 1) 'ready and willing' to use them as opposed to 2) having them (nukes, etc.) "

---

Read between the lines. If they said they know AQ HAS nuclear bombs, and not just dirty bombs, but real nuclear bombs, and they are IN the US, that would create mass panic.

This kind of news is their (government's) way of spoonfeeding the bad news to us slowly, letting us know, without panicking us, at least not immediately. Of course they are hoping they will catch them first.

I think this is serious. Bush looked happy and relaxed right after the Iraqi war, but has been looking very preoccupied lately, and I don't think "le worm" Chirac could put hi in a bad mood, but some serious threat, like real nukes, would.

As far as I'm concerned: TOTAL BS - they have no such material.

But, if so, where? Point out the physical assets this would involve? Allude to the financial resources and the money trail that MUST exist ... NOTHING exists in a vacuum and if EVERY intel agency is 'watching their back yard' here in the US between them and the public I don't believe they can remain hidden *if* they were in fact *to* exist.

MY contention is, again (somebody missed it the first time!), that if the intel is that good they already know details like location, et cetra ...
