Which is a smart play, Annika is playing this like a 'major' tourney not beating herself just taking what the course gives her.

No, in order for the hoardes of Annika fans to see how she's doing ,they have to scroll down. halfway. Try it yourself: Scroll down to -1. Now tell me where you see the words "Bank of America" anywhere on your screen. Boy, you're REALLY reaching now.
Go ahead, just admit that this was a good move for Bank of America, or at least give a legitimate reason why it wasn't.

Annika is proving that one determined and gutsy lady like her, who actually can hang with the boys, is worth 100 Martha Jerk types.
Bump to that.
I think that had she proven she belonged by qualifying, there would have been a lot less squawking.
I never had an objection to it, however. The sponsors have earned the right to choose who they want for their exemptions, and she had earned their attention with her performance on the ladies tour over the years.

Freepers have critiqued her attire, accused her of steroids, found her mustache today. Sad they can't just admit she can play this game better than most men.

Pretty rich comment about someone that didn't even qualify. She had to use an exemption to play. Yeah tell me about it.

You are delusional if you think games of skill can only be won by the best women against the best men 1% of the time. That is what golf is, a game of skill, athletic prowess is not the deciding factor on the course.
Are you sure you're a man?
No, I must be a dyke because I don't buy into your nonsense logic. Boy, gonna have to run paternaty tests on my kids now... since I must not be a man, because someone who thinks no woman can ever play golf on par with men has questioned my genetalia.
Are you sure your name isn't false advertising? Seems to me on this topic that brain you are advertising isn't firing on all cylinders.

"The cut might be even par. two over on the front nine and she's in trouble."
Yes. That's true for everyone. But so far, after 9 holes, she's -1. Pretty good for a girl, seems to me. Personally, I don't care whether she makes the cut or not. I just like seeing those who predicted her to shoot in the 80s eat a little crow.
It's a matter of no real importance...that's why it's so funny to see all these folks rooting for her to miss the cut. Lots of guys are going to do that.

Name one sport where the best women would beat the best men any more than once in a hundred. Ice skating doesn't count! I was thinking auto racing, but then again every single time I've watched a race with Sarah Fisher in it she wrecks in the first few laps. Someone please explain to me why women don't excel in auto racing. I seriously would like to know.

No, really. Unless they specifically look for "Bank of America" on the webscreen, the thousands of people who go to PGA Tour.com looking for her score will never see it. Notice: the person who created this thread refers to the tournament as "The Colonial." That's just what happens. The sponsor's name in the title is unwieldy and dropped by normal people.
