I thought Clay nailed it last night. I've often thought that he's been trying too hard and over vocalizing, but last night put me firmly in his camp. His rendidtion of "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" was the best I'd ever heard. Bar none! I wasn't crazy about the original song he sung but I was knocked out at how he sung it.
Ruben, IMO, was just awful last night. His version of "A House is Not a Home" was really bad, but "Imagine" was terrible.

I thought all along that it would be Reuben. However, based on last nights performance I'd be surprised if Clay doesn't take it out.

My daughter copied the 'Clay phone number' last night, while I was at Bible Study, and I stayed up close to midnight trying to call that darn number....( can't believe I'm admitting this :^)

I thought that Ruben was not that familiar with his original song. It didn't work for me. I wish he'd come out and done 'Superstar' and 'Sweet Home Alabama'. Song selection was not the best for him last night.

I'm dating myself big-time, but I remember watching this show when I was a kid.
