As an interesting aside, a recent economic report concerning income levels for various ethnicities in America was trumpeted with the headline "Blacks and Other Minorities Still Trail Whites in Income".

After a laundry list of per capita income among blacks, hispanics, Native American, Pacific Islander, etc. came the kicker - Asians in America are well ahead of all ethnic groups in income. Yet the thrust of the article was to imply that the American economy was so rigged by whitey that 'White Priviledge' was a dominant factor.

The article gave no indication as to what were the causes behind Asian affluence or how they managed to use the American economy to get to the top of the heap.

I just thought that was interesting. Racialism as a corallary to liberism is alive and well.

I have always refused to fall victium to the fake "White guilt" syndrome. My ancesters came here well after the days of slavery and had nothing to do with it. They also experianced prejudice themselves, but rose above it and now have achieved mainstream success.

So called "white guilt" is for liberal weenies. My family is as white as they come, and nobody on either side ever had a maid or a butler of any color, much less a slave. Why should I pay reparations or feel guilt? I don't, and I never will. I have never discriminated against people of any denomination unless they discriminated against me first.

Indeed, as has been argued by D'Sousa and Horowitz, if America were a racist society then blacks that move to this country from Africa or Jamaica would not do much better than indigenous blacks economically. It is the reverse racism, low expectations, unearned benefits, and lies about "White America" that has retarded some of their growth. Of note is the fact that we now live in a time when the majority of blacks are middle class or better and possess a standard of living better than the average Swede. To be in America is to be affluent even when you are poor.

Bingo!! If a non-American black can be successful in this country, then the issue is not the color but the attitude. Many American blacks are still waiting for the elusive "40 acres and a mule" that Jesse Jackson and the other race baiting poverty pimps keep telling them that the U.S. owes them. This is rubbish. They should take a lesson from a newly immigrated black and work hard, and like anyone else here, they can be successful.

Success is proportional to what you get out of it, or as Curley Howard once said: "If at first you don't succeed, keep on sucking 'till you do succeed!"
