Bush Fans Turn Up the Heat on Disney/Micheal Moore [FR Linked on MSNBC]
MSNBC ^ | May 12, 2003 | Jeanette Walls

Get ready for the Bushies versus Mickey Mouse.

Some stalwart supporters of the President are organizing a boycott of Disney after it was revealed that a subsidary of the company is helping finance Michael Moore's 'Farenheit 9/11,' which is expected to come out in time for the 2004 election and reportedly will show links between the Bush dynasty and Osama Bin Laden.

On Friday, Variety reported Disney's Mirimax would provide funding for the flick after Mel Gibsons Icon Productions dropped the project.

'Financing Michael Moore's 2004 attack film is UNACCEPTABLE, notes a poster (recovering_democrat) on the Conservative web site Free Republic, which gives contact numbers for people to complain to both Mirimax and Disney.

The site also urges boycotts of all Disney products, including Disney World and even ABC.

A source close to Mirimax says the company is undaunted, 'We have weathered storms like this before.'

When asked about the planned boycott by Free Republic.com, the insider said, 'Whoever they are, they are entitled to their opinion.'

I knew with all the emails, calls, it would help. When I emailed and begged them for help and the only would who would give this fair, consice coverage would be Joe Scarborough, I included the link to the ongoing thread and asked them to have Joe read it and cover it.

Well, he did, that very same night! And I tell you to 'me' MSNBC is #1 Cable news in my book!

Actually, I want the Gay Communist Hate America Losers at Disney to make this film loaded with lies, half truths and typical Michael Moore stuff (he must write a lot with a pen name for the NY Slimes).

I want them to spend hundreds of millions producing this crapola and hundreds of millions advertising it. Then it will appear and leave the movie houses in a few weeks as another failure of the Gay Communist Hate America Losers and Disney.

One of these days some stock owners will document all of this and turn these Rats in control of Disney into the SEC for squandering corporate money to push their Left Wing Gay Communist Hate America lies and mantras. That will be an interesting and rewarding investigation and trial.

it's all about networking and getting the good word out. The silent majority in this country will no longer tolerate abuses by the left.

it's funny to note, Disney owns ABC who is giving Jeanine Garofalo her own show...

They are aiding some of these anti-American pukes. Maybe greater action vs Disney as a whole is needed.

Well, let’s see:
I have four grandchildren.
If Nanny and I take the grandkids to the movies, that’s $ 7.50 each for Nanny and I, and $ 5.50 each per grandkid. That’s a total of $37.00 to take the grandkids to the movies.
Add to that, the inevitable video/DVD tie-ins at roughly $25.00 per! (times four, cuz we all know that grandkids got to have their own copy! Heaven forbid they be expected to share!)
So far, we are up to $137.00 for one movie. Times roughly 2.5 movies released per year, comes to $ 342.50 a year that Disney will not be getting from this Nanny and PaPa anymore of they continue with this foolishness.
Now, multiply that figure by how many millions of Nanny’s and PaPa’s in this country and if that don’t cause Mike E. to re-evaluate his thinking, then nothing will.
And this doesn’t include the lost revenues for movie theatre sales of popcorn, snacks, and soda. Or the lost revenues for action figures at Mickie D’s and Burger King.

And I did all this with a lowly public education! Who wudda thunk it!

I have a following on highly Democrat forums to try and talk some sense into these people and give them another point of view. "Rocksteady" on the forum, a 25 year old white male, has a good heart, but easily misguided, was scathing the Bush administration after watching "Bowling for Columbine" and as a result of "Bowling for Columbine" was turning his support to "Timothy McVeighism". That is what happens in this country as a result of such propaganda. Here is an example:

Rocksteady wrote of Moore, "I dont think he inspires people to hate america, our government does that just fine."

Part of my response to Rocksteady (some of you may have read a snippet of it yesterday, cut and paste helps me reach more people on different forums who need to hear a voice of reason):

It does inspire anti-Americanism. I remember how riled up you were Rock, after watching "Bowling for Columbine". Many people believed that movie and did not stand behind our country when we needed it. Moore, when asked how he can call it a documentry when it is not factual, said it was "a comedy not a documentry". He had edited the speeches, there is no such facility in Colorado, etc, etc, etc. He is the liar that people should not be following. What he is doing to this country when we need to be pulling together to deal with what is coming, is what bothers me.

Rock, It is not that I am naive and wear rose coloured glasses. It is that I know the Bush Administration is filled with hard working, dedicated people and it is all about getting a job done from working along side them. I have never trusted a government more. Decadence and self interest of any form, I have not experienced with the Admin, just lack of sleep, no food and no leasure. All they do is work, work, work, for you. There is never enough hours in a day. We are at a very vulnerable time with terrorism and need the support of the country, not the polorization of society. Bush had some hard calls to make as a result of all the lies and corruption.

There was obviously something very wrong with the UN's decision with Iraq. As it turned out many of those opposing the war had their hands in the cash register, France, Russia, the English Minister who directly received 375,000 pounds, etc. Of course they were vigilantly opposed to the war when they had been bought out for years. Not suprising they demonstrated such deplorable opposition to it... they would have to stop taking money that would have gone to the mouths of the children of Iraq. The audacity to blame America for the conditions of the Iraq people when it all comes out in the dirty laundry the conditions were caused by Saddam (obviously) and his allies... France, Russia, the English Minister, etc.

I wonder if the English Minister who directly took food from the mouths of the children, was also invited to Madonna's private show in France? What makes it even worse though, is the anti-American sentiment they stirred up around the world to mask their own deceitful self interest of lining their own pockets.

Do the Actors and Actress's not realize they are playing into the hands of people like Bin Laden who's goal is the "clash of civilizations"? Making more people hate America is going to get us all killed... giving people more fuel to want to fly airplanes into our buildings. If Michael Moore, Madonna, Dixie Chics etc, had done their research a little further they would have realized they were being cohersed by the enemy. The only portion of any of their arguement I will agree with is that the foreign diplomacy could have been handled a little better. But on the other hand "good cop, bad cop" can be an effective routine... Strong disciplinarian action was needed as when a criminal commits a crime in a country. America was the only Super Power strong enough to fulfill that role, and the world should be thankful it did, and does. Without a functional UN the world could become chaotic very quickly as a country would, without a police force. I appreciate they may think they are doing good things for their country, possibly some of them anyhow, but let's step back and evaluate what would be best. Getting more people to hate us is going to get us killed. Let's use their influence in a positive way and draw the countries together, not cause further desruction by slagging our country.
No one likes war but the reality is there will always be bad guys like Hilter in the making. Do we just let them cause further atrocities and align with terrorist organizations? It was a soft hand that bred Bin Laden and allowed him to train 100,000 Al Qaeda troops in the desert. If we had of forcefully stopped that, we may have been able to prevent 3,000 people burning to death in our Towers. All the terrorist activity that causes death and destruction to innocent children now, is because it was not nipped in the bud soon enough. These organizations were able to gain momentum to cause the amount of deaths they are today... the Twin Towers, Bali bombing, the theatre hold up etc. My Dad taught me a very important lesson when I was young "the first no is always the easiest no". Or my Grandmother's advice on relationships could be applied "start it the way you want to finish it", in other words don't allow anyone to treat you any less than civil, from the beginning, otherwise it will require much more drastic measures down the road to command that respect back. Because this wisdom was not used, we are facing the drastic measures to regain civility.

I pray they see the light of day soon and stand strong behind our country and work on portraying the kind, compassionate, heart of America. Showing us as a war mongering dictatorship will get more of us killed. There is no question in my mind about that. We are dying because of the anti-American sentiment.

End of forum comment.

I am also on here doing research (that is why I am able to post so much this week) for a 5 to 7 minute video production I am putting together in two weeks in the hope of improving the American image internationally and to try and pull the country back together. As an Australian living in America for 6 years, I think I can I can show the goodness of America, without it looking like an American screaming red, white and blue. It is the ol "third party affirmation" technic. As a result of working in Diplomatic roles I am very aware of the main area's of concern internationally. I also have a large Democratic following that I can touch. I suspect I will be completely ostrasized from anymore invitations to Hollywood parties but so be it. :) If we all do something in some small way to get the truth out, we may be able to encourage some more people to see the light of day. If anyone has any suggestions for particular points you think would be prudent for me to address in the video, I would love to hear them. You can email me if you are not comfortable brainstorming in public.

Next year will be different. Universal Studios ROCKS and will see our greenbacks instead of the Mouse.

Universal is owned by a French company (Vivendi).
