The United States declared Saddams Baath party dead late Sunday, with the war's commander telling Iraqis that the instrument of theior deposed dictator's power was dissolved and promising to purge its influence from the country it dominated for 35 years.

General Tommy Franks message delivered in Arabic by an announcer on the coalitions information radio, broadcast a clear message over the AM radio waves across postwar Iraq:

Any activity by Baath Party holdouts who opposed United States occupation would not be tolerated.

'The Arab Baath Socialist Party is dissolved,' Franks said, but high difficulites remain in eliminating it.

American Administrators are struggling to balance the need for a frest start with an unwelcome reality-that thousands of Iraq's civil servants had Baath affiliations.

Unless more Iraqis have power, I hope they replay this message later.

I yearn for the day when Dubya announces, "The Democrat Party (of American socialists) is hereby dissolved and any further activity by its former members will not be tolerated." Shoot, if we can dismantle one enemy that posed a great risk to American freedom, why can't we another?

Waiting for Senator "KKK" Byrd to bust a gut on the senate floor and denounce this news as nothing more that an ill timed mean soirited campaign ploy and that the president should be ashamed.....LOL!!

And Terry McAullife will ask us to make a pledge to not show this news during the campaign season......

We have these dems on the run.

Why dissolve it? They will simply form other groups with the same philosophy and different names.

Your reply and comments tie in with something that I started posting about this weekend.

Byrd's, Waxman's, Water's, McAwful's and the maggot infested mediots whining about GW's flight to the Lincoln is their dream of affirmative action in the 2004 election.

It is obvious in the spirit of affirmative action, they don't us to use any of GW's accomplishments. If we show and talk about GW's accomplishments, the 9 drawf's/fairies the best that the DNC can muster will not stand a chance.

So when they whine, they are just trying impose affirmative action on the 2004 elections. Without affirmative action restricting GW, he will kick their butts!
