Are Bill and Hillary Clinton sweating now that the Supreme Court today revived the controversy over Vince Foster's death?
Urged by the Bush administration, the court said it would decide in autumn whether the government must release post-mortem pictures of the Clinton White House attorney's "suicide."
At stake is "the privacy interest of millions of individuals, about whom personal and sensitive information is stored in government files," Solicitor General Theodore Olson told the court.
Olson insisted that five investigations had showed Foster killed himself and that a sixth inquiry "by an unsatisfied private citizen" seemed unnecessary. But for the whole story, see Christopher Ruddy's "The Strange Death of Vincent Foster."
Accuracy in Media, a public interest group that maintained Foster's suicide note was a forgery, filed a request with Park Police seeking autopsy photographs and photos of Foster's body at Fort Marcy Park in McLean, Va.
The government refused, and a federal appeals court in Washington agreed. The court claimed the pictures were exempted from the mandatory disclosure provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.
AIM said it wanted the photos to uncover "government foul play," but unless the group had compelling evidence there was not enough reason to justify an invasion of privacy, the appeals court said.
Attorney Allan J. Favish, who represented AIM, then filed his own FOIA request with the independent counsel's office to obtain the photos. When the office refused, Favish filed suit in federal court in Los Angeles.
Though a federal judge again said that there was no evidence justifying the invasion of privacy, a divided appeals court panel reversed and said evidence was not necessary.
When the case was sent back to trial court, the judge, under the appeals court's guidance, ordered the release of five of the 10 photographs of Foster's body, including one that had been published in Time magazine.
The government, joined by members of Foster's family, appealed. This time, an appeals court panel ordered the release of nine of the 10 photos. When the full U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, with headquarters in San Francisco, refused to hear the case, the government asked the Supreme Court for review.

Yes, ping me if it shows up. I went to look at alamo-girl.com, but that site appears to be having "issues".

And maybe just a routing issue with my ISP; it's been known to happen. Ahhh, the wonders of modern technology ;-)
Just identifing where the issue lies is a challenge, let alone figuring out a fix. And yes, it is working from here now, too.

Whew! I'm glad to hear it's working for you! Thanks for letting me know.

I've often thought that not enough was being done to go after Clinton by this administration....but for good reason...Get re-elected first...and then let the floodgates open wide...no sense in miring your administration down with "attacks" on Clinton...just win the re-election and then let it all hang out...much like Clinton did during his second tour...pun intended...

I seem to remember reading in the Foster report that no car keys were found at Ft. Marcy Park. Then, miraculously, they turned up in his COAT JACKET at the morgue. I ask you: how many men put their car keys in their jacket pocket? I don't think I've ever done it.
Also read that Vince Foster was raised a Catholic. We were always taught that suicide was the one unforgivable sin.

Seems like an awful conscious effort to do so for one that is about to kill himself. At that point who cares about keys. I've forgotten many of the particulars but I do remember that alot of things just didn't add up. But one has to know that a cover up extends far far far beyond the Clintons...
P.S. I usually pu my keys in my jacket if I'm wearing one because I hate putting them in my front pants pocket unless I'm wearing loose fitting Dockers or something, but generally I can't even stand my wallet in my back pocket..

Actually the attorney who is arguing the case before the Supreme court thinks that part of the problem is that anyone who dares to question the clinton administrations lies on any subject will be destroyed. I want justice as bad as everyone else, but this can't look like the Bush administration has anything to do with it. Too much is at stake here.

Foster knew too much about OKC, Whitewater, and the Arkansas prison blood scandal. He was also the clinton's bag man who carried their drug money to Swiss banks. 1. Nope. OKC was April '95. VF died July '93.
2. Yep. He was holding the subpoena-ed billing records showing HRC's involvement w/ Castle Grande & Seth Ward.
Web Hubble testified that VF was the last person to have been seen with the records, that is until they show-up in Hillary's "bookroom" six months later.
3. Yep. Vince was the agent between HMA and Clinton. I gotta wonder what was Billy Jeff's cut?
(--and then there was "HillaryCare" --imagine a slice of the nation's medical budget?).
4. Yep. Note that Vince Foster was several month late setting up the Clinton's "blind" trust. And there was the delays & questions about the Clinton's tax returns.
The easy-to-hide stuff was done, but Vince had to hustle to get the blatantly illegal things out of sight --or at least out of the country.

I stand corrected. I meant to say Waco, not OKC.
