Obviously an immigration problem. They should close the borders and elect Tancredo.

Well if we haven't yet pissed it all away ---
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) was stunned last month when told of the extent of the U.S. nuclear arsenal, Newsweek magazine reported in its June 25 edition, released on Sunday.
``I had no idea we had so many weapons,'' Bush was quoted as saying by an unidentified ``White House insider.''
``What do we need them for?'' the president was said to have asked at a briefing, according to the Newsweek report.
But that was not a dumb question, the magazine noted in detailing the vast U.S. nuclear arsenal, which includes 5,400 warheads on intercontinental ballistic missiles, 1,750 nuclear bombs and cruise missiles ready to be launched from B-2 and B-52 bombers, 1,670 ``tactical'' nuclear weapons and another 10,000 warheads in bunkers around the United States.
Here is some shock and awe for the North Koreans if we use some of them

A propagandist of the Pyongyang regimen announced today Sunday that N Korea has at least 100 nuclear missiles pointing at the United States which will be used if economic sanctions are imposed. I guess if you live in Alaska or Hawaii you better start worrying in a few years.

Launch all Zigs! ...with great justice!
We don't need economic sanctions in No Korea. If we just ignore them they'll implode. However, like the whining Democrats, the great idiot dictator, "Ill" or whatever his name is, will probably cause some mischief in the end.
But I doubt it will be anything greater than what he has already perpetrated upon his own people.

NK has about as much ability to fly a nuclear missile to an American city as fly a man to the moon. But I don't think that we want to take out that little joke quite yet. We need them for a while longer to pressure Congress to further fund the ABM program, which is really aimed at the China problem.

Any guesses on where they would actually land?Good point. It reminds me of the Three Stooges episode where they were firing a large cannon/artillery piece and hit everything but the target. LOL.

This is just gives GWB another reason to shine. Him and his staff will figure out how best to deal with the pukes in north korea (lower case letters on purpose) and turn this situation into another victory for the United States of America!

Apparently the North Koreans are oblivious to the fact that Japan has duly taken note of it's beligerent neighbor. Anyone who is a student of Japanese history knows how suddenly focused they become on what they deem a "problem."
North Korea is much closer than they imagine to a surprise annihilation NOT from the Washington, but from Tokyo.

These guys do know that it's better to bluff than it is to deny. They saw what happened to Iraq.
Frankly I'm not concerned about a NK missile coming to the west coast anytime soon, at least not before the limited missile defense is deployed. The missile defense is exactly meant for states like NK, which even by 2010 will have no more than 10-20 ICBMs. China on the other hand could have hundreds.
But yes, the real problem here is China, whose strategic interests require a hostile North Korea as a dagger pointed at the only US military force on the Asian mainland.

The Soviets had thousands pointed at our cities. Remember our wolves still patrol the depths of the oceans ready to turn NK into a sheet of glass. Two things:
1) The Soviets, as messed up as they were, were relatively sane by comparison to Slim Dong Il and his regime.
2) Nukes only turn sand (like in the Middle East) to glass.
