......Every Day

FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues; salute and support our military and our leaders; tell a few jokes; learn a new word; write poetry; pray for those in need; and congratulate those who are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which we can express ourselves.

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. I can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.

Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!

And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

Good day to everyone!

Had a busy day full of erands and am now just settling in to get caught up on all the days' news.

Thank-you for the words of inspiration, (((grantswank))).

Speaking of which, I'd like to ask you all to remember LBGA to our Lord in your prayers today. She has had a rough road these past 4 weeks, spending all of that time in the hospital. If all went according to plan, her sister was going to take her to her brother's house in TN this weekend to convalesce and resume her duties via computer for her business. I hope to hear from her soon that this was accomplished.

She misses you all and had a terrible time connecting to the Internet from the hospital, so that's why she hasn't been able to communicate with us here.

Please keep FReeper Dix in your prayers, as well. He is recuperating from surgery on his lung and is doing well, from what I've heard. There is so much power in FReeper prayer.

Thank-you, dear Lord, for listening to us and wrapping your healing arms around our FReeper FRiends. We humbly ask you to continue to help our friends along the path to healing and wholeness. And, please continue to guide all of us in our desire to help and support one another. We are a unique and wonderful "family of strangers" brought together with a common cause. God, our Father, you are *awesome* in your kindness and generosity and we thank you for all that you have blessed us with.

My greatniece is here today. I bought some software for 3 year olds. My son has loaded it so now she is getting frustrated (but she's learning to use the 'rat'). Prior to this she has just used the keyboard to play with her ABC's.
Maybe we can put them on the internet on some kid game. Marissa was 3 in December and she keeps me busy. Too much energy for me. LOL

Since they now live about 90 miles away and I don't see them as often, it is awesome to watch him constantly on the move. With sisters 20 and 12, and a brother 17, he is precocious and talkative and 'interactive,' as well as active!

Whew! I'd forgotten how tiring it is to see a live Zippie-Zoomie..:))
