I put this up now, as I am unable to confirm the time President Bush will be departing and/or arriving San Deigo and arriving on the Abraham Lincoln!

What's even more delicious about this moment is that the dimocrats are already whining about it--poor things say they don't have such nifty props for their campaign ads....LOL!

Fox said it's about a 40 minute flight out to the Lincoln, but no word on when he leaves SD.

The President again proves he's "THE MAN" with this high pucker factor trip. Just imagine how the PILOT must feel. The troops on the ship will go absolutely WILD!!!! The Democraps can only recall a stained dress in the oval office.

Anyone know how far out the Abe is from port?

Remember when Clinton and his groupies stayed on the carrier for the D-Day anniversry--his staff and probably Hillary stoled the towels.

I predict that he will arrive on board the Lincoln about 3-5 Pacific time. In case he has to ditch for some reason, they will want a few hours of daylight left. I'll bet that he has the highest tech locator vest ever made. Additionally, I'd guess that there are at least two to six helo carrying ships (with helos launched of course) evenly spaced along his flight path.

Thanks. I'm taking the phone off the hook...locking myself in the bedroom to watch it. I better not have any interruptions. I pity anyone who messes this up for me. It won't be pretty. :-)

Hi Everyone.
Does anyone know how the airman flying with Bush were chosen? I find this to be such a high honor!
This reminds me a bit of Bush the elder parachuting a few years back.
What a happy occasion today is.

Approximately 12:00 noon Pacific time (3:00pm EDT).
Exerpt from story on Fox News website:
The president appeared excited as he joked Wednesday about the landing.
"Never can tell what's going to kick in," he said during an Oval Office meeting with the president of Colombia. "Let me just say, stay clear of the landing pattern."
Rear Adm. John Kelly, commander of the Lincoln battle group, said that the pilot ferrying the president onto the carrier "has flown through extraordinary pressure in support of combat operations for months now. I am very confident that he'll do a great job."
White House Communications Director Dan Bartlett said flying the jet to the carrier "is actually safer than a helicopter because you have the ability to eject. In a helicopter, if something goes wrong, you're stuck."
Bush is set to arrive on board the flight deck around 3 p.m. EDT. He will eat lunch with the crew and tour the 1,100-foot ship. Part of the tour includes an airwing viewing in which pilots in 30 FA-18 Hornets will demonstrate their skills for the president.
Bush is scheduled to speak to the nation at 9 p.m. EDT and spend the night on the ship, departing by helicopter before its arrival at San Diego Naval base.

Today must be one of the DARKEST days in Klinton's life.
Even darker than the day he had to leave Monica under the desk to join his buddy, Arafat (or whoever was cooling his heels waiting for the Bubba-in-Chief.

This from Wash Times!
But later in the day, Mr. Bush playfully left open the possibility that he would take the controls of the plane. "Never can tell what's going to kick in the urge," he told reporters in the Oval Office. "Let me just say: Stay clear of the landing pattern."
