Jack Kemp on Hannity and Colmes criticizing Newt for criticizing Colin Powell NOW!
Posted on 04/25/2003 6:15:26 PM PDT by ConservativeMan55
Jack Kemp is on Hannity and Colmes critizing Newt Gingrich for criticizing Colin Powell. Jack claims that Newt's statement plays into the hands of Daschle. Jack thinks that Newt's opinion was poorly timed. Newt thinks that we should have been tougher with our diplomacy, and I see nothing wrong with that.

Jack Kemp needs a voice and a clue. His son Jeff has the same voice and was just a clueless as a NFL quarterback.

I'll agree with you for agreeing with me agreeing with Chad Fairbanks for criticizing Jack Kemp for critizing Newt Gingrich for criticizing Colin Powell because it makes Tom Daschle sad.
To: PhilDragoo
VERY GOOD...I like that definition.

"What he (Newt) meant was that he wished that Colin had played hardball with Old Europe." Probably. But, this isn't what he said. Newt quoted Daschle...and I simply wish he hadn't.

I had just finished reading a story about digging up bodies at a prison in Iraq. The relatives looking for their lost ones amongst the smell.
I know that smell...
Then I see trash like Combs and Ferraro spilling their UN/European garbage and it made me lose it...
We need to pack a planeload of these naysayers over and give them a tour of those nasty sites and let them see the Iraqi people first hand. No masks should be allowed either. Damn elitist socialists!

Yes the republicans need to adopt a more graceful way of handling their internal differences instead of dragging them into the public arena. You have got to imagine how much the democrats enjoy seeing this happen continuously.

Well, thank God we can all agree with the story on now, which is that the dog owner won't be prosecuted for saving his pet from the fire. LOL!
Now I am going to go watch the Presideint's interview. That should cheer me up!

Meanwhile back at the ranch,
does the State Department need to be cleaned out?
Maybe the President should task Newt to do it, I can hear the squeals before they start.
To: ConservativeMan55
I agree, I wish he hadn't said it either...but I agree with what he MEANT to say. Newt needs a speechwriter. Now!

Also I think Rumsfeld and Powell were playing a little good cop-bad cop situation. That was my theory until I saw Colin get angry with Old Europe. Once Powell realized they were screwing him over, he purposely stopped diplomacy and I can't blame him at that point. What is the point in negotiating with FRIENDS OF SADDAM.

I highly respect Newt Gingrich, but Jack Kemp is neither here nor there with me. Both men are out of power and do not hold elected positions in government. This is nothing but political and party in fighting. Better it happen now, then a year from now. It will be forgotten soon.

What!? You don't want Patricia Ireland's words of wisdom?
She reminds me of Jane Goodall's recent reenactment of a "monkey greeting". Oh so educational, don't you think?

I'm not worried about W though. Like Reagan, W has successfully overcame each obstacle placed in his way.
To: Reagan Man
Kemp has been trying to get blacks to vote Republican forever. And then Newt goes and criticizes the untouchable one. Oh the horror!
