Jack Kemp on Hannity and Colmes criticizing Newt for criticizing Colin Powell NOW!
Posted on 04/25/2003 6:15:26 PM PDT by ConservativeMan55
Jack Kemp is on Hannity and Colmes critizing Newt Gingrich for criticizing Colin Powell. Jack claims that Newt's statement plays into the hands of Daschle. Jack thinks that Newt's opinion was poorly timed. Newt thinks that we should have been tougher with our diplomacy, and I see nothing wrong with that.

Well, at leats no one, so far, is criticizing me for criticizing Jack Kemp for critizing Newt Gingrich for criticizing Colin Powell. I'm going to criticize you for spelling 'least' wrong AND for criticizing Jack Kemp for criticzing Newt Gingrich for criticizing Colin Powell. So there.

I am deeply troubled that murdoog is deeply troubled that Tom Daschle is deeply saddened that Chad Fairbanks criticized Jack Kemp for critizing Newt Gingrich for criticizing Colin Powell.

Diplomacy was not ineffectual.
It gave Saddam the months he needed to move, hide or dispose his WMDs.
Jack Kemp needs a voice and a clue.
I propose we balance the tax cut by eliminating the State Department.
We can just all get along--and if we can't, send Tom Daschle in his tutu.
I am terribly disappointed by the shameful failure of diplomacy.

Right. All Newt really said was that the State Dept. needs shaking up. I am sure Powell is well aware of it. I am also tire of hearing how American diplomacy failed. We didn't fail. The UN failed.

I knew Kemp was a loser when Algore whooped his ass in their debate.

I agree. Also, although I understand the difference between criticizing the State Department and Powell, a large number of Americans don't.
Kemp had a couple of good points:
1. Because Newt sits on the Defense Policy Board, it gives the appearance that the criticism is coming from the Pentagon.
2. Coming right after a great victory, it was very poorly timed and took attention away from the success.
I also think the phrasing was poor and sounded too much like Daschle.
Now, everyone can criticize ME for criticizing Newt who was criticizing Powell!!!

Why don't ALL these people JUST SHUT UP!!
Jack Kemp is saying he hasn't even spoken to Newt in months. Then why doesn't he pick up the phone and call him and ask him personally what the hell Newt thinks he's doing. This is just playing into the hands of the dems. They love this stuff. We must stop playing their stupid game.

What you said.
To: ConservativeMan55
I am deeply troubled that Tom Daschle is deeply saddened that Chad Fairbanks criticized Jack Kemp for critizing Newt Gingrich for criticizing Colin Powell who caved to the UN for 6 months because Jack Kemp wears too many rings he gets critized by Conservativeman55 because Jack critized Newt.

This is the way you lose power, fighting amongst yourselves. This is the way Clintons come to power, by criticizing each other instead of them.

Ferraro is insane. Sean gave up and I couldn't blame him. She and Allen are both a couple of idiots! They have not been kept current with the events of the last two months! They are just UN lackies (communists!)!!

I agree. We have to get all these guys under control. Although I agree with Newts original statement.

You are quite correct. Too many people want face time on TV.
Bring back Colonel Hunt!!!
To: ConservativeMan55
I can't ever recall this scenario happening, involving two or more democrats.......Why is that?
To: cibco
Ferraro and Hannity were arguing about whether or not Iraq is better off now, or before Saddam was kicked out. And out of NOWWHERE...Colmes comes in almost schizophrenic like and says that there are many resolutions that the UN aren't enforcing all over the world????

Conservatives have principled differences.
Democrats have no principles, hence, no differences.

Because for all of their evil ways, democrats maintain party discipline. Republicans are prone to think "My way or the highway."
You see evidence of this on this forum, where we hav multiple threads about how certain folks because of whatever reason won't vote for Bush. Rants about third parties or primary challenges, etc. are quite common. Newt and Kemp just are doing the same thing on a bigger podium.
And they need to shut up.
