Jack Kemp on Hannity and Colmes criticizing Newt for criticizing Colin Powell NOW!
Posted on 04/25/2003 6:15:26 PM PDT by ConservativeMan55
Jack Kemp is on Hannity and Colmes critizing Newt Gingrich for criticizing Colin Powell. Jack claims that Newt's statement plays into the hands of Daschle. Jack thinks that Newt's opinion was poorly timed. Newt thinks that we should have been tougher with our diplomacy, and I see nothing wrong with that.

The only differences liberals have is who can grab power first!!

Why would anyone watch that silly program? Hannity shines on radio while H&C is the equivalent of a TV root canal.

Most of the time Hannity and Colmes is a really good show, but tonight the guests were not up to par..

Now, everyone can criticize ME for criticizing Newt who was criticizing Powell!!! You'll hear no criticism from me.
Newt's comments were neither well timed~~~nor well stated.
I'm going to duck now ;^)

Hunt and Bevelaqua do need their own show.
Also, I have an idea for a great reality show. It could be called "Snooping in Baghdad." Each week the cast could grab some random piles of documents from the piles of stuff and trace their source. Some weeks you would be tracing the tale of a political prisoner, the next week a terrorist hide-out's funding, then a Congressman or UN member's corruption...
I think it would be fascinating.
If this show turns up on Fox, you heard it from me first and I want residuals. Ha!

Did someone mention Col. Hunt....I love that little bulldog.

No lie. Our guys are getting as bad as the Dems hauling all their dinosaurs (Lautenberg, Mondale, Mitchell) out of mothballs. Our guys aren't antiquities, they are just has-beens. GO AWAY. Sit down and shut up, already!

I don't see anything wrong with Newt's comments. Remember he was making the comments to a Conservative Group...What he meant was that he wished that Colin had played hardball with Old Europe.

This is a great idea! Or how about a show that just follows Laurie Dhue or Ann Coulter around all day!!!

Oh, let's make a lits of those who need a 6-month embargo from speaking on television!
Besides the two culprits here, I will add Bill Bennett, Gary Bauer, John McCain, and Alan Keyes.

I think maybe John McCain has a SPOTLIGHT addiction. McCain was on TV today complaining about Iraq.

"Republicans are prone to think "My way or the highway." I keep hoping that Republicans will learn how to govern. If we'd do this; we'd be a powerful and positive influence on American domestic and international policy.
Until then, I'm afraid we'll just keep debating and aruging among ourselves.....

Please read my comments. The problem was the similarity with Daschle's comments, the timing, and the over-generalization which is easily twisted by the left.
Now Kemp is on calling attention to Newt, which is also not helpful. Newt is correct about State needing an overhaul. Kemp is right about the quality and timing of Newt's comments. AND THEY NEITHER ONE SHOULD BE DISCUSSING THIS ON TV!!!!
To: Miss Marple
I'll agree with you on both counts. If Kemp had a problem with what Newt said he should have picked up the phone.
To: ConservativeMan55
I agree with you for agreeing with Chad Fairbanks for criticizing Jack Kemp for critizing Newt Gingrich for criticizing Colin Powell.

I think Republicans cave too much! We should do what George W. Bush is doing. Push our ideas and not compromise. When our ideas are obstrcuted, point the obstruction out to the American people and we will take care of the rest as we did in 2002.
