The Harrisburg Patriot News Decoursey reports that Senator Rick Santorums (R-PA) defenders are now under gag order.
White House and Republican National Committee officials told GOP insiders yesterday by conference call, voice mail and e-mail not to comment about Santorum's comments letting them speak for himself.

The cases are completely different, one from the other. The only common denominator is the Left's ever more threadbare assaults on those who act or speak-out against the Left's demands.

The flap is coming from your gums trying to feed the Left base with anything, anything, anything, that will make them want to participate in 2004.
Retread candidates, morally bankrupt Senators, Big baby killing industry, anti-Military, what else could anybody want in the Democratic party?
Oh, that's right. People to give money and people to actually show up and vote.
Too bad this ain't helpin' any.
To: ewing
This isn't caving unless we tell Santorum to be quiet.
This is simply trying to calm things down.

As opposed to 100 folks talking to the media like with Lott.

I know, but they scored big with Lott.
A big win for them. A GOP Senate Majority Leader in their trophy case.

No, the Gays are attempting elicit the support of the Privacy Rights Fanatics. So far, with tepid results.
And, if you don't think a handful of rampaging Gays can create a flap, what planet are you orbiting?

Even those who support them all the way don't want them smooching in front of their kids.

Don't you just love the twittleheads that keep repeating the 'get the government out of the bedroom' mantra?...
Hysterical, isn't it?
States clearly have a right to regulate here and "the government" isn't conducting bedroom checks in my area.

That's bull, msimon. These people don't just do it in private. They do it in parks, restrooms, bath-houses, clubs, cars... anywhere they think they can get away with it. Why should the cops be limited to giving them a ticket for loitering when what they were really doing was swapping sh*t?

Then click Hotline in the left hand corner and 'todays issue' after that.I don't even see a "Hotline" in the left hand corner. :(

anybody have a way to e-mail the reporter or the agency that employs her(the one that twisted Santorum's words)? She needs Freeping badly!

Chalk it up to DNC talking points.
I've noticed that they are trying oh so desperately to change this attack into something else entirely.

Yes, the underlying cases are on the surface completely different. I find them similar to the extent I don't believe the government/law/social engineers should be involved in either case.

True.
I wish the GOP was half as good at the "talking points" game as the democrats. They have scored allot of points simply by virtue of their cohesion and consistancy.
Bam, bam, bam.. right down the line. 10 second soundbytes, tailored for media consumption..

As I pointed out there is nothing preventing a zealous community from doing bedroom surveilance (all nice and IV Amdnt. proper) if the laws are on the books. Is this your main concern?

Yes, but, alas, I think they're "wearing it out"! They keep going to the "well" with weaker and weaker issues. This Santorum flap is a real stretch. That's why I hope our guys hang tough right here and now! Then {next step} let's go on offense!

Lara.Jordan@ap.org
Lara.Jakes.Jordan@ap.org
I don't know which of the three will work, but one of them will. Just email to all three and delete the two that bounce back.
AP Washington Bureau
2021 K Street NW, 6th Floor
Washington DC 20006-1082
(202) 776-9400
The bureau chief in DC is, or was as of last year, Sandy Johnson. Email format would be the same:
Sandy.Johnson@ap.org. Note Sandy is female, so she's Ms. Johnson, not Mr. Johnson.
For the life of me, I will never understand why we Freepers will sit and wring our hands for multi-hundred-post threads when DNC operatives within the news media pull crap like this, but we make almost no attempt to hold the news organizations themselves responsible. Kristinn, you ever consider holding a megafreep at the AP?
