The Harrisburg Patriot News Decoursey reports that Senator Rick Santorums (R-PA) defenders are now under gag order.

White House and Republican National Committee officials told GOP insiders yesterday by conference call, voice mail and e-mail not to comment about Santorum's comments letting them speak for himself.

bottom line is those that slammed Lott with the Left and forced him to resign his post to Frist who is even worst are to blame for this latest liberal move on Rick.

Please tell me you don't think the left wouldn't react to this no matter what happened ?

Watch your matches, Sink, you're constructing strawmen. If you're in favor of states retaining the right to proscribe sodomy, I suppose you're also in favor of the states simply ignoring the enforcement of the law. Your vacuous assertion proves the utility of Senator Santorum's remarks ... if the states are prevented from proscribing objectionable and dangerous behaviors such as sodomy (without a need for bedroom cops ... you apparently didn't like that reality being stated), a whole host of other proscribed behaviors that endanger society and members in the society will be protected. [You're lack of rational perspective is disappointing in this issue, Sinkspur.]

"Wag the dick"

What the hell is that exactly?

And I don't care if they were "snitched" on. It doesn't bother me even a little bit.

Why should it?

Well of course the government was not spying this is much better than that. They had a system that encourages snitching. The neighbor with an ax to grind lies to the police to get these fellows in trouble

Of course. All we have to do is call 1-800-sodomy.

Question for you. How many sodomy cases are you aware of in the pst 5 years ?

Correct.

So you agree that just as the government doesn't have a right to tell Hootie who to golf with, they don't have the right to tell him who to sleep with? Of course this comes with limitations because Hootie's choices do not give him the right to abuse women or violate other laws established for the protection of citizens.

A simple statement like this:
"Senator Santorum was clearly misquoted, and we would certainly hope that the Associated Press will have to decency and iontegrity to do everything possible to rectify the situation AND to take steps that such a things does not happen again."

Make the reporter's conduct the issue.

You're right.

The reporterrette is married to a Dem operative working for a Dem presidential candidate.

Whether we agree with Santorum's argument or not, this witchhunt is not justified at all. He just stated an opinion that mirrors the opinion of many legal scholars.

I think our cave validated this strategy in their minds

This strategy has been validated since Nixon.

Today Conservative Petitions started a petition in support of Santorum which I signed. It was moving along quite well.

You are wrong.

The Left is calling for his resignation because of his RELIGIOUS beliefs and how it doesn't jive with the gay-agenda.

Or haven't you been paying attention.

Bottom line is you don't know what the heck you are talking about. NOBODY forced Lott to make his statement. He did that on his own when he had a good idea C-SPAN was going to broadcast it. He did that to himself. If he'd had enough judgement to NOT to say what he said, he'd still be Majority Leader.

Santorum was MISQUOTED by a reporter, which is an entirely different kettle of fish. This possibly is a case of misconduct by the reporter. The facts I outlined in Post 54 make that a distinct possibility. Senators Frist and Specter HAVE come out defending Santorum, by the way. They are NOT caving.

So stop freeting about Republicans caving like some girly-man, and instead help get the word out about how this reporter misquoted Santorum.

Most likely listening to radical wing of the Libertarian Party.

I think you're absolutely right.

You do know that our entire Constitution is based on religious conviction and the freedoms granted to us by God, right? Specifically, CHRISTIANS.

FYI, these same homosexual deviants had previously tried to get a court case regarding same-sex marriage into a court. Can you say 'agenda'? Yup, such pleasant folks. If one attack on society doesn't work, try, try again. Got to carve out those protections for their deviancy.

Don't you just love the twittleheads that keep repeating the 'get the government out of the bedroom' mantra?... What dufuses, so transparent.

Please provide me with examples of the magnanimous, open-mided tolerance afforded to those who espouse and advocate conservative religious values.
