I would be willing to bet that the violent reaction from the women was from the guilt of her own abortion as others have suggested.

Liberals continue to defend the use of violence against the innocent, be it by Communist or Islamo-Fascist tyranny, criminals, or abortionists. So it is not surprising that they would use violence against the innocent once more to suppress freedom of speech and expression on a college campus.

Carol Thought you would be interested in this.

Can you imagine nearly 300,000,000 murders since Roe v Wade and the liberal accomplices blame conservatives for the failure of social security, when they are the ones sytmatically eliminating the continuation of the funding through these blatant acts of homicide.

Looks like a very powerful exhibit. Amazing how liberals hate truth.

"She reaches across and takes the hammer out of my hand, gesturing it in my face and going, 'How dare you as a woman [express a non-approved political position]".

The thought plantation enforcement division seems to be getting a lot of work from its Leftist overseers these days...

Kiera Manikoff, a political science major and a junior, scuffled with a female who verbally harassed her and held a hammer over her. Charges are pending against the assailant.

So it is with the left.

Nah, can't chat with them over differences, they want to hit you with a hammer.

That's all I need to know.

The woman responded by telling Manikoff she found the display "horribly offensive." Then the encounter took a physical turn.

Truth Angers those opposed to virtue.

Here we go again with the violent left. Why is it that when we protest we do it with creativity and humor and they do it by defecating and vomiting in the street and destroying property? I know why ---- they are lowlife scum.

Because they find it offensive, they would deny the freedom of speech they so cherish. Crosses and signs are offensive but murdering a baby in the womb is not. They truly live in a parallel universe.

Anti-abortion display at UMass destroyed

By NICK GRABBE, Staff Writer

http://www.gazettenet.com/04172003/five_col/5200.htm

Thursday, April 17, 2003 -- AMHERST - An anti-abortion display outside the Student Union at the University of Massachusetts was destroyed by vandals Wednesday night, police said.
The display of 160 white crosses, representing the number of abortions every hour in the United States, had previously been the site of vandalism and an alleged assault. It had been up for three days.

UMass police received a call reporting the incident at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, said Deputy Patrick Archbald. When officers arrived at the south side of the Student Union, they found the crosses broken and strewn around the area, with some in a nearby garbage can, he said.

The incident happened after 8:45 p.m., when an officer on foot patrol noticed that the display was intact, Archbald said. There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation, he said.

The idea for the display came from David Peterson and Matthew Progen, two members of the UMass Republican Club. They said they saw similar displays in Florida during spring break.

Progen, a senior from Leominster, was standing at the site of the display this morning with tape over his mouth and a sign reading "Silenced by the Radical Left," he reported by cell phone.

"This made me pretty angry," he said. "I spent a lot of time putting this together, and it's opened up a lot of discussion. For people not mature enough to engage in conversation to take out their juvenile aggression this way is disheartening."

Race:

It's oddly comforting to find that nothing has changed in Amherst since I left nearly 24 years ago. For example:

"....The woman responded by telling Manikoff she found the display "horribly offensive." Then the encounter took a physical turn....."

Translation: all students have an unlimited right not to be offended, with the exception of students who hold orthodox Christian and conservative political views for whom ritual offenses are mandatory so that they may reform their counter-revolutionary thought to "right thinking."

"...."She reaches across and takes the hammer out of my hand, gesturing it in my face and going, 'How dare you as a woman. You should be ashamed of yourself.'"...."

Translation: Only one view of femininity is acceptable. All others are traitorous, even "offensive." Women who transgress against this rule court verbal and physical assault from the campus thought police (as well as other militant defenders of civil liberties).

".....A scuffle ensued as Manikoff attempted to prevent the "LARGER" woman from swinging the hammer...."

The most militant supporters of abortion-rights on campus were always the co-eds least likely to ever be in a position to contemplate a need for the procedure. Reminds me of the days when a group of gals decided to "occupy" the Collegian (the quite good UMass student newspaper) because, if my memory serves me, it didn't include a weekly insert devoted to "woman's issues" in which radical feminists could rant (paid for with mandatory student activity funds, of course). They marched with picket signs and chanted slogans in the downstairs corridor of the campus center and had a "slumber party" in the Collegian offices at night. The paper was unable to publish for a couple of weeks due to this exercise of free speach rights. We wags described the fun as the "ugly girls party." Cruel but accurate.

Anyway, three cheers for Miss Manikoff for her display of courage and willingness to stand up to the thought police. I am certain that her actions are not unnoted by the Saints in heaven, both born and unborn.

Regards,

Dan
