Chastity rule riles gay divinity students

SUMMARY: Gay and lesbian students at Duke Divinity School are balking at the school's new ethics code, which mandates chastity.
DURHAM, N.C. -- Some students at Methodist-affiliated Duke Divinity School want more opportunity to discuss an ethics policy that requires students and teachers to live in "chastity," among other things.
Chastity is traditionally understood to mean faithfulness in marriage and celibacy for singles. Gay and lesbian seminarians are particularly concerned that they might violate the code if they have sexual relations.
Ethics professor Amy Laura Hall said the faculty unanimously agreed chastity could include faithful relations among gays and lesbians, though the code does not explain that.
The "conduct covenant" governing behavior goes into effect in the fall. It calls on students to show respect, honor friendships and be welcoming, hospitable and chaste.
The United Methodist Church does not ordain active gays and lesbians, bars same-sex union ceremonies and calls homosexual acts "incompatible with Christian teaching."

Funny how religious schools have changed. It was not that long ago that this would have even been a question; let alone an issue.

...the faculty unanimously agreed chastity could include faithful relations among gays and lesbians... No such thing. Chasity = celibate single men & women AND faithful married couples consisting of 1 man + 1 woman. Duke faculty = radical Socialist bums.

Gay and lesbian seminarians are particularly concerned that they might violate the code if they have sexual relations. Well, imagine that.

Glad to see that Divinity Schools are turning out such pillars of morality as these people.

So do I take this as a "clintonian" explanation that homo's feel they are not actually having sex?
It all depends on your definition of "IS"
Only satan could create logic so perverted.

Being GAY is all about getting "it" whenever, wherever, and however, you want "it." This paints the picture beautifully.

So do I take this as a "clintonian" explanation that homo's feel they are not actually having sex? Sure. From the Clintonian perspective, oral sex is not sex, right? So for lesbians, at least, they can't actually have sex, now can they?

What are these people doing in Divinity School in the first place if they can't (or won't) understand the concept?

No, being "GAY" (when referring to homosexuality) refers to sexual attraction exclusively toward the same gender. This is posturing and whining by homosexuals, but that does not make posturing and whining a function of homosexuality.

Chastity rule riles gay divinity students How is it possible that a chaste divinity student can identify himself with a deviant sexual lifestyle?

I've had about 16 responses flash through my head in the past 30 seconds (most of them would get this post yanked and probably get me banned), so I'll just say to those divinity students...
DUH, YOU SICK FREAKS! DUH!
I guess their Bibles don't have the pages forbidding homosexual sex, huh? Good grief.

What are these people doing in Divinity School in the first place if they can't (or won't) understand the concept? You got me. It is not even necessary to believe in God to attend some Divinity Schools any more.
If you don't believe why would you want to attend?
