Foxnews Runs AWESOME Tribute to the American Military!

Posted on 04/16/2003 12:03:40 PM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Was anyone watching Foxnews just now? Oh it was so awesome! They played Darryl Worley's have you Forgotten? and then put it with pictures of the troops overseas! I'm going to request that they play it again, I was shouting at the TV in agreement!! It was an awesome tribute!

They showed some pictures of us bombing the hell out of Saddam's regime.

That would be so cool if you could make a slide show. I am cable/Fox-news deprived, and those of us without access to Fox would surely appreciate it.

Freepers are the best.

Gee and to think the likes of the dixie chicks sarandon and robbins wanted this song banned.

Maybe somebody could but together a montage of patriotic songs banned by the major networks and PBS in the past year.

You beat me to it! :)

I think the day before yesterday he said in his commentary that everybody had been running around saying how badly the war had been going and he pointed out everything that went right. Which of course, was practically the whole war!

He said he's a "half-glass full kinda guy" while the others were "half-empty". He concluded by saying they were also "half-assed" or something like that! It was really good.

There is a video vault on his website but I didn't check it out.

I watched it, it was wonderful. It looked like the bombs were exploding in time to the music.

They've done some really good stuff including the one one with the pictures of our fallen warriors to the music of Last Full Measure.

"They played Darryl Worley's have you Forgotten? "

Darryl sang at the pentagon today. I think Rummy introduced him. It looked like a great event.

I've probably mentioned once or twice how much I hate complainers.

I avoid them at all costs.

They're the kind of people who could win a million dollars, then complain about the taxes. Or see an ailment cured, then moan about the attitude of the doctor who cured it.

They love to see the dark side of things. I always wonder whether these people have ever once seen the good side of things.

Take the war in Iraq. To listen to a few journalists, you'd wonder whether anything good came of our being in Iraq. Sometimes I wonder if they're even following the same events.

We liberate Iraq. They focus on problems remaining in Iraq.

We see Iraqis hoping. They see Iraqis looting.

We wrap up a war in weeks. When only days after this conflict, they predicted a Vietnam quagmire in years.

For every triumph, they see only turmoil.

We know countries liberated are countries confused. It's as if they've forgotten identical patterns in countries like Romania, or Bulgaria, or Bosnia, or after World War II, even Germany.

Looting happens. Poor people want things -- desperately. We didn't create that desperation -- someone else did. But now we're suddenly the problem.

We wrap up an amazing battle in Iraq and now journalists are dumping on the president for saying harsh things about Syria.

A nation rallies around a president for a battle won abroad. These guys immediately pounce on the problems still here.

They focus on the bad news, like a weak economy, not once mentioning any good piece of news, like improving consumer confidence.

Look, I'm not saying don't report the bad. I am saying don't focus on only the bad.

Journalists say it's their right to be jaded. I say it's not their right to be jerks.

I'll be the first to admit I'm a half-full glass kind of guy. That's why I don't much distinguish between those focusing on the half-empty glass and those who are just, in the end, plain half-ass.

"Cars and trucks trying to kill our troops. Stupid!

I agree. An image that sticks in my mind is the story of the group of Sadamites in the bed of a dumptruck that tried to attack an M1 on a bridge. I haven't seen any video, but the reporter said they didn't get very close to the tank.

I saw it and it was fantastic. I sent FOX an email and
ask them to play it every hour on the hour until the
ones who have forgotten 9/11 remember it.

I missed it :-(

I hope they repeat it many times. FOX has had awesome tributes to our troops. They go out of their way to show that our military are regular ordinary people, who are doing an extraordinary job in Iraq.

It was the "BLACKHAWK DOWN" scenario the Fedeyeen Sadaam thought would be so effective.

Yeah I think you're right. "Blackhawk Down" is apparently popular among the jihadi (I saw a quote to that effect posted here on FR from an Iraqi video shop owner).

So the jihadi go plowing toward an American soldier, not considering the difference between a soldier on foot, and one sitting at the bow of an Abrams or a Humvee outfitted with TOW missles.

It was proven in Afghanistan, with the innumerable domestic arrests, and now again with the jihadis in Iraq, that the Islamists recruit from the lowest of the IQ gene pool.

Did anyone catch Fox and Friends this morning? While waiting for the CENTCOM briefing to start, they were ragging on the FOX reporter there for always trying to hit on the NBC red-head sitting next to him. That was pretty funny.

I think it was during Shepard Smith's program - email Shep and tell him to show it again. www.foxreport@foxnews.com - I think that's the email.

I heard Cavuto's commentary yesterday. It was beyond magnificent! It should go down in history as part of these times. Like Rush, Cavuto has a passionate love for America, as do I. I e-mailed Cavuto to tell him how great he was. And no, I don't know how to link to his commentary.
