David Hunt and Bob Bevelacqua should team up for a show. What a FABULOUS idea! And since FNC will probably have to get rid of something else to make room for the new Col. Hunt and Major Bob show, I have a suggestion: DUMP Geraldo!
I'll start e-mailing Fox News tonight...

I mispoke. He was talking about our men going into the war would have to leave behind all of the PC crap in order to win this war. He was talking about the nature of the enemy.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing about the Marines standing by while the country was burning. Guess they think we don't watch FNC and see the truth for ourselves.

"Hunt & Bevelacqua" has a nice ring to it, wouldn't you say?

A couple weeks ago Laurie introduced the Colonel and thanked him for showing up so late at night. Hunt then said, "Yeah, real tough duty here having to spend my late nights with you."
Laurie then blushed.
Laurie is engaged, but it is so obvious she is attracted to Col. Hunt. She's like a schoolgirl when he's on.
Jennifer Eccleston. She is utterly adorable. I love the hair-flip thing. More than that, have you noticed how she bounces on the balls of her feet when she talks? Rarrrrr.
Finally, Hackworth. The first time I saw him, he was on with Joe Bob Briggs relating a "true" story about how senile old Ronald Reagan almost accidentally started a nuclear war. They were watching WarGames, so this was his "tie-in tale." Briggs expressed a great deal of skepticism over Hackworth's tale.
Later, he showed up on Fox News. I hissed at the screen, but then he made sense. He made sense some more, so I chalked the Joe Bob Briggs thing up to some kind of joke. Not so. I later found out he spent the '80s in Australia criticizing the Reagan administration. He has also boasted on Fox News that the reason he didn't advance in rank was because he criticized the Vietnam war from Vietnam while in uniform.
He also said another stupid thing on the Joe Bob Briggs show. Something like, "If you see a guy with a chest full of medals, know that he's a desk jockey. He got those for fetching a Colonel's shaving kit from the barracks."
Enough of that. More Eccy pictures, please! :-)

**Does anyone know who the CNN reporter "Richard" was that was hugging and kissing the departing UN ambassador from Iraq. The ambassador thanked Richard and CNN for all they had done for him.**
Saw that on Brit Hume today. the kind of good=bye, I think, the CNN guy would have liked to have avoided. It was hilarious. Even al-Dhouri calling him "Richard" gave me the heebeejeebees.

I'm not an activist leader, so I don't know how to get something like this off the ground. But, we really, REALLY need to somehow encourage Fox News to get into the radio game. I cannot tell you how bloody awful it is to be stuck with ABC Radio updates in the car or at work. When the war first started, we were stuck with Peter Jennings on the radio side of things. Oh, I misspoke. One channel had Aaron Brown.
How can we get them to put out a radio news feed? All of those e-mail addresses? Can you imagine hearing Brit or Shep when we have important, breaking news? Better than that Canadian hoser.

NY metro area has WABC news morning updates with Steve Roberts......an Bush hater if ever there was one. Occasionally we get Tony Snow, but not nearly often enough.

No, the stations themselves are conservative. At least, to judge by the hosts. But, they get their national news feeds from ABC. So, when war broke out, they turned over their program to the national feed. Nothing but wall-to-wall Jennings. Now that things have settled down, it's limited to the top of the hour breaks (and the bottom of the hour when warranted). But, I'd like to have a pro-American national feed to listen to when the next big event happens.

One last point I wanted to bring up. Before the war, Pat Sajak just started a new weekend interview show on Fox News. Pat's a nice guy and a conservative, but are celebrity interviews really in demand from the Fox News audience? I hate to wish ill on Pat, but I'd like to see Fox quietly drop his show. Or, at least, they could retool it into something that could feature all the great Fox military guys. Then, Bush just needs to gin up a conflict so they'll have a reason to be there! Kidding, kidding.
